Swoony, Super Hot College Baseball Romance

THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING!!!! I am normally not the biggest fan of college romances because they make me feel old. But not this one! Homerun Proposal was such a fun, sexy, swoony book. I totally fell for Lane Collins!!!! He was cocky, sweet, and knew EXACTLY what he was doing. Phew. He was everything you want in a MMC and one of my new forever book boyfriends. Don't forget the nickname Hallie Girl!? Perfection. I also loved Hallie's quirky, awkward personality. And when these two get together...fireworks. ALL. THE. FIREWORKS.

I listened on audio to this one and it was pretty good! When the male narrator does a female laugh, it bothered me a bit. But overall it flowed really well and was a great listen!

A fun sports romance with unique characters!

I have heard great things about this book and the hype was totally accurate! I really enjoyed it!

Hallie is such a fun and unique character! I loved that she knew who she was even if she sometimes felt she was different. I think her feelings are pretty on-brand for an 18-year-old. I know I wasn't quite ready to fully be myself at 18. I also liked Lane and that even though he was an athlete he loved her for exactly who she was. The mutual pining was the cutest!

I am also a huge fan of spice lessons! I think they are always a fun trope for a story. I did have some mixed feelings about it in this case, because I felt like some of it wasn't completely realistic. She enjoyed things that I don't think most people would soon after losing their virginity and I do wish they had talked about consent to certain aspects of the spice a little more. That being said, I did really enjoy watching them realize their feelings and find how special sharing an intimate relationship with someone you care about can be.

Overall, I enjoyed this one and I think anyone who likes a new adult romance, sports romance, spice lessons and great characters will too! I'm really excited to read catching feelings!

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - This one has a handful of open-door spicy scenes. It is a bit of a slow burn with them waiting a bit to "go all the way".

🎧🎧🎧🎧 - I listened to the audiobook for this title and enjoyed it! Alex Kydd and Sarah McEwan did the narration. Both were new to me narrators but you may recognize Alex Kydd from Caught up by Liz Tomforde and Sarah McEwan from Saw You Swear by Megan Brandy. There were a few moments during the spicy scenes or when laughs were added that I felt like it was a bit overacted but it was a few minutes out of the whole audiobook.

The audio was great, and I really liked both narrators. So glad I’m into audiobooks now because it makes listening to books so much easier.

Definitely enjoyed this audiobook.

HALLIE AND LANE FOREVER!!! This book was so darn good! I didn’t expect to cry, but I am just so obsessed!!!

Horrible male narrator

The male narrator totally ruined this for me. He took way too many liberties by adding in unscripted giggles, moans, scoffs, etc. If I’m not thinking about that little annoyance, the story was good enough. It was enjoyable but also forgettable. I didn’t really have too many strong feelings one way or another about the story or characters.

Lane FREAKING Collins

One of my all time favorite books. The main character is relatable and Lane Collins is epic book boyfriend material. I highly recommend this book - the audio makes it even better.

I loved everything about this story ! The audiobook was great, I loved the characters. I even cried a little ! I’m so happy I decided to pick up the audio to read along with my physical copy.

this was so cuteeeeeee. i know literally every review says this but it gave SUCH 90s/early 2000s rom com vibes. 🦋💕⚾️

Alex Kydd is actually the most perfect Lane.

LANE. COLLINS. Okay, Maren, I see you. I am IN. LOVE. with Lane. He is everything I never knew I needed in a book boyfriend. Oh my word. So dreamy, so seductive, so perfect. His devotion to Hallie was literal heaven. I don’t have anything else to say because this story was perfection.

Alex Kydd and Sarah McEwan brought this to life in the most perfect way. Alex Kydd is HILARIOUS when he voices his characters. It’s like I can picture him in his little booth cracking himself up. I absolutely love him.
