Publisher's summary

Leadership for law enforcement decoded.

Are you a sworn or civilian law enforcement supervisor? Are you considering becoming a first-line supervisor? Are you interested in becoming a better leader? If so, this is the book to listen to.

You have spent some time learning all the skills it takes to be a good cop, deputy, agent, or civilian member of a law enforcement agency. You have proven yourself on the front lines. You relied on tools such as protective instruments, defensive tactics, handcuffs, firearms, and your experience. In short, you've been a superhero. To successfully transition from superhero to supervisor requires a new set of tools and skills: soft skills.

As a supervisor, you are expected to know how to motivate the superheroes you lead, rate their performance, reward them when they do an outstanding job, and hold them accountable when they screw up. You also have a boss to report to who will hold you responsible for doing all those things. After listening to this book, you will be equipped with a new set of tools.

Think about it as an entry-level academy for supervisors. If you follow the guidelines and lessons inside this book, you will not only be a successful supervisor, you will be a confident leader that others look up to and respect.

It's time to arm yourself with soft skills for hard results!

A must read for newly promoted supervisors!

I was recently promoted to the rank of Sgt in the field of law enforcement within the last year and this book was suggested to me. I wish I had read this book a year earlier as I found the author to be extremely relatable to experiences, challenges and mistakes that I also made as a newly promoted supervisor. I found this book to be extremely relatable, timely and very helpful in the world of leadership!

Applicable to current times, good info

I have read many leadership books for LEO and civilian, and this is the best.
The information is applicable to the current day and age. It is written in a way that is easy to understand, and apply.
I can't recommend this book enough.

The narrator does a great job as well and is easy to listen to.

Absolute must read for Law Enforcement Supervisors

I can't stress enough how much I think all Supervisors in Law Enforcement should read or listen to this book. I only wish I had come across it earlier into my supervisor part of my career. I recommended it to a new Sgt the other day and he already called thanking me because it was spot on with some issues he was already dealing with.
