Excellent!!

Not only did I read the book, I listened to the Audio version as well, it’s that good. Varg does an outstanding job of explaining his first hand experiences and stories within the entire book. VOM is a great guide in helping understand the violence in this world and the consequences. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

Very good book

The authors narration takes getting used to, but by the end of the book he is much smoother.
His techniques for learning are excellent and can be applied to any discipline

Excellent material for all experience levels

This is a book that will seem violent to the average suburbanite but practical to a student of violence A.K.A. a self defense student. Varg has articulated the realities of violence and the fundamental knowledge required to prepare yourself for a violent criminal encounter. This is a great book for the beginning student and seasoned instructor. Varg's position on mental preparedness, situational awareness and posturing, and training methodologies are spot on.
