Jake Bible = Action!

Jake Bible does not disappoint in this installment of the Roak series. Great almost non-stop action! The overall story is getting pretty intense in this one. I can’t wait for the next one. The author does a pretty good job narrating too. I prefer the “regular” narrator for the series but I did not find the narration lacking.

okay story, terrible narration

I've listened to every Roak audiobook and really enjoyed the stories and narration. therefore it wasn't even a question when it came time to listen to the next one. unfortunately, instead of the excellent narrations of previous books, the author decided that he could squeeze a few more dollars out of this audiobook by lending his unique Kermit-the-frog style narration to the book. Nothing says hard-boiled bounty hunter like Kermit the frog gargling motor oil.

it was bad. really bad. I'm really sorry but boy was it bad. I'm so invested in the story that I'll get the next audiobook, which looking ahead i know is also voiced in the style of the famous Muppet, but i never would have embarked on the series if it started out this way. i really wish i could have once again heard yellow eyes narrated the way he should have been but instead i got Kermit the frog voice #7.
