Publisher's summary

As far as Green Valley is concerned, Kim Dae disappeared into the Wraiths, a decade ago. They were sort of right. Kim has spent her life since Jethro, fighting her curious nature and trying to blend into the background. Unfortunately for her, a mysterious maestro comes to town and takes quick notice of her for reasons unknown to anybody.

The masked conductor, known simply as Devlin, was already a source of much gossip, thanks to his reputation for getting fired. Now, his sudden interest in the quiet fourth chair cellist has added fuel to the rumor fire.

The new conductor of the symphony needs to learn to control his temper and finish his latest musical masterpiece, and only the reluctant star of his symphony can help him do that. If Devlin can’t convince Kim to help finish his latest composition, he’ll lose everything.

Can Devlin and Kim compose without losing composure?

The Treble with Men is book two in the Scorned Women Society series. It is a full-length romantic comedy novel, and can be listened to as a stand-alone.

loved it

Ahh the scorned women. I love these books.
Both characters grow over the book. It does have note of the Phantom to it. I really enjoyed it.

Great story! Swooning!

I’ve listened to most of the Green Valley/ Winston Bros adjacent books, and this is probably my favorite. I love them all, but the male lead here has such beautifully written dialogue, and much of it is truly swoon worthy! To top that off, Chris Brinkley is a genius. He makes tall of his characters come alive, the tone and inflection only add to the story. This was my first time to hear Emma Love, but I enjoyed her as well.

definitely read the series

such a great addition to the smarty pants romamce series. i really liked this one, possibly one of my favorites. loved that it was about two artists and the passion they have to create amd for eachother. well written and i enjoyed the narration. chris Brinkley is the best for these southern men.

Hmmmm

Narrators do a great job. The story was good until about chapter 30….. then the angst and lack of communication kick in to create unnecessary drama…. Ugh. I stayed for the end…. Where of course in one chapter everything is resolved. Common. Romance doesn’t have to have disagreement based on lack of communication to make it good. It needs two characters with chemistry and fun flirting and witty banter. A conflict they solve together… great. But the drama of two immature people getting together because the sex is great….. no thank you.

The female narrator…so bad

Took away from the story. Like why do we need to make a character sound like sling blade.

The story was good

The story is good.. but the female narrator is annoying. Her male voice is so flat and makes the men sound like monotone surfer robots.. it's so slow and dull. Chris Brinkley was great, as always

Great story, female narration nearly unbearable

Am I really the only person that’s noticed the authors blatant takeoff the Phantom of the opera? Don’t get me wrong I love POTO, And the story didn’t disappoint. However I found myself laughing out loud mimicking the female narrator in order to get through it, her male voice was laughable, at best!
