Publisher's summary

Milton, Brint, Whisp, and the Guardian Guild are back in the conclusion to the Station Cores series!

After the events that previously occurred near the northeastern border of the Kingdom, Milton has a lot of work to do. Not only does the Station Core have to hide his dungeon from the rampaging hordes originating from the Quizard Mountains, but he has to find somewhere to put thousands of children who are heading towards his dungeon for safety.

If that wasn’t bad enough, Milton also has to find a place for millions of other citizens to live; even though they don’t even know who or what the Station Core is, they are counting on him to keep them safe. With that safety, though, comes a chance at something that they never thought they’d have: power...and revenge.

Milton isn’t just going to build more habitations for them to stay comfortably in his new Underground Kingdom; no, he has a proposition for them that they would be fools to ignore. The acquisition of new abilities means that the need for an immediate education on how to control those new powers is paramount. Strangely enough, it’s time for some new students to enroll in Milton’s new Guardian University.

But will they be able to learn well and fast enough to get the revenge they seek? In the end, they’ll have to - especially if they want to take on and defeat the army fielded by...the other Core.

Contains litRPG and gamelit elements such as level progression and experience, optional tables, no harems, and a heavy dungeon core emphasis.

Series Finale Exceeded Expectations

Jonathan Brooks delivers the goods in the fifth and final installment of The Station Core series. The plot was well paced (I skipped most of the stat tables)and was full of surprises and turns. Additionally Miles Meili's narration fit the tone of the series perfectly (and he probably deserves a medal for making the stat tables as listenable as they were) Without giving away plot spoilers, I enjoyed the shift of focus to push some new characters forward as a way to bring in new life to what could have become repetitions of the earlier stories. Overall, I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading/listening to rpg plot lines.

I applaud the author for making the stat tables separate chapters so that those who wanted to skip them could without losing any story line. From the audible app perspective, when listening in the car, i couldn't skip the whole stats sections with one fast forward as it only allows increments in 30 second bursts.

Epic Finale!

I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

Having suffered a loss at the hands of the horde of monsters from the Quizard Mountains, Milton brings back the Proctans and trains them for the final battle against their enemies.

I enjoyed listening to this book. If you liked the previous books in the series, I recommend listening to this one too. It features small training fights as well as a large epic battle.

Conclusion???

I have throughly enjoyed this series. When Mr Brooks said at the end of the series, I mentally screamed. But then he said he would look into the future adventures of Milton (eagerly awaiting) I sighed in relief. So thanks for the wonderful books Mr Brooks and to Miles Meili as well.

Great end to this series.

The kingdom is gone and only Milton and the people he could save are left but they have to take out the other core and it's minions if they are going to survive on this planet.
This is the story of the epic last battle. How are they going to eliminate millions upon millions of huge monsters?
Brooks makes this last book in the series epic. Milton helps the locals power up beyond anything they could have ever even dreamed of just a couple of years before.
One of the great things about the MC, Milton, is that he doesn't have to help the locals. He, at this point, could just finish collecting the resources he needs and get off the planet. But he stays despite the fact that he could die himself.
Meili helps get you right into the heads of the characters and the heat of battle.
If you like fantasy, dungeons, monsters, battles and especially LitRPG you are going to love this book.

Epic ending or new beginning?

I received this book in exchange for a fair and unbiased review

TLDR Really good book.

The characters were interesting. Similar to previous books a great of conclusion to the story but As much as this feels like an ending it also feels like the start of a new adventure is looming on the horizon. As the conclusion wrapped up I though that the whole series was a great first arc to a larger story and I feel like there is more still to be told. We’ll see though.

a great finish to the series

finales can be tough, a lot to wrap up but it still needs to be a compelling story in its own right. Jonathan Brooks does that very well here.
