Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error.

It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you. That standard procedure doesn't apply to Arnold.

Now stuck on a new Earth, in a new universe, with no way home, Arnold must use his gaming skills to figure out how to level his farmer class to 100 and gain a second class which doesn't make him want to beat his head against the wall. There is just one small problem: Farmers don't gain experience from killing monsters. Like at all.

Follow Arnold on his hilarious journey as he stubbornly comes to grips with his new reality and tries to change his destiny from that of your typical farmer.

Expected a background book, couldnt put it down.

So yeah,

I expected to be a book I'd listen to when playing games, working or when traveling. I couldnt put the damn thing down.

Its well written, the characters are believable, the story is engaging.

The Summary does not do this book justice.

Surprisingly, I now need more of this

I dance around this book for a long time then finally took a chance. I really enjoyed it. This was a mix of lots of niches that I liked alone, but together it was awesome and now I feel like there needs to be so much more of this.

I thought this was pretty damn good. I definitely recommend this for a listen.

Very interesting litrpg

Honestly, great little story. I listen to a ton of litrpgs and this one was just what I needed. No, its not going to be high fantasy or particularly amazing, but it has a semi-unique idea that is implemented very well.

It's in my top 5

I have over 250 books in my library and this is in my top 5. I have no complaints. Story was great, world building was great, narrator was perfect. really hope there will be a sequel.

Pretty Good

as a 72-year-old sci-fi fan, I only recently began reading lit RPG books. I found this one to be more amusing than most in part because it doesn't waste nearly as much time going through the annoying congratulations you have leveled up stuff. This one had a good plot, different than many LitRPG games, and good character development. I would enjoy more by this author.

lost too much sleep because of this book

I tend to judge a book by how much I'm tempted to stay up late listening. this one definitely made me lose more sleep than I care to admit

this book is fantastic, I can't wait for the next.

travis baldree is my favorite narrator and he takes this book to the next level.

That was different.

This was actually a fun book. Glad I gave it a try and can't wait for book two.

Delightful book, give it a try

What can I say, I really love this book. I was a little bit skeptical at the beginning of the book, but but the book really grew on me and it's really really interesting. I love how the character grows and navigates the world. The one thing I didn't like is something that happened at the beginning of the book, and how the character just let things go after he realizes what was going on. All the characters are relatable and not throw away, It's like many side characters in litrpg books. I cannot wait to continue to explore this world and see what the MC does.
