great book

I love these stories there are action pack and finding love all at the same time.

Heart-pounding and Steamy Romance!

We finally get to meet the mysterious woman who has been watching the team from Treasure Hunter Security in the previous book! When Ronin Cooper confronts her, he finds out she is in desperate need of help. Peri Butler, an expert polar guide, is looking for her missing sister. Her sister is also a guide and hasn't been heard from since taking a job with, what they now know is, the dangerous black-market antiquities ring, Silk Road. THS agrees to help find, and rescue her sister. Peri has clues, that her sister left for her, that has them trailing this deadly organization to Antarctica. Ronin is former SEAL, and ex CIA and has seen too much tragedy, making him feel he is better off alone. Peri and her sister have grown up all over the world, and now she just wants to put down roots. These opposites, in the face of harrowing danger, form a connection neither expected. Ronin and Peri have fiery chemistry as they face chilling and deadly encounters, together. Hackett has a way of balancing action packed suspense with hot sizzling romance in her stories that always keeps me riveted. Stella Bloom continues to take my breath away with her expressive narration that brings these characters and this heart-pounding and steamy story to life.

Another great book!

Peri and Ronin are a great combination, and Anna Hackett does an incredible job of keeping the reader, or in this case, the listener, entertained. Both characters had had tough upbringings and you can't help but feel for them.

This is probably my favorite narration by Stella Bloom. sometimes I feel she slightly misses the mark, but this one was very good

Fast moving, Steamy Adventure

Very fun light Adventure w “ancient archeological weapon” storyline. ProximityDanger with gd guys vs bad guys. “Reads” very quickly with no lags (except Steamy sections, for me). I also own the bk format. Female voices & accents are well done, male voices “ok.” I own the earlier Treas Hunters audios & plan to purchase the rest of this series. Considerable profanity in this one.

Love it

Love the story and love the narrator. Super fast listen. Stella Bloom does an awesome job on each of the characters voices so there was no confusing parts about who was talking.

If you love action and adventure, this is for you. If you love romance, this is for you. If you love Anna Hackett's Phoenix series, you just may be reading a story about their ancestors. The story line moves at a rapid pace with characters you can root for. This action packed series starter will keep you on the edge of your seat and the pages turning. I can't wait for the next book

Good triumphs again!!

Anna Hackett does not discriminate when casting evil doers!! Perry and Ronin’s villains are those you least expect and for reasons unknown. Ronin’s bravery, protectiveness and willingness to help the less fortunate is the perfect complement to Perry’s loyalty, persistence and caring nature!! Both have been damaged by unfortunate childhood events which solidifies their connection and make them forthcoming with feelings for each other. Their relationship quickly develops and keeps you engaged until the very end. It’s great when good triumphs evil!! Stella Bloom’s narration is amazing as always!

A new Setting for the THS Series!!

Who doesn't love a bit of cold environment for a Romantic Action book? Its one of my favourite settings in a book. I've always been fascinated with the Arctic or Antarctica, so to read about it only adds to the hype, excitement, and the need for survival. Ronin and Peri delivers all of that, and more!!

Stella Bloom has done another fantastic narration of the THS Series, and I'm so excited to hear the rest of the Series narrated by her!!

Glad Ronin and Peri found each other

I knew Ronin was a broody man, but his back story is heartbreaking. I am glad he found someone like Peri who was not only challenging to him, but she also refused to give up on him and allow him to push her away, bringing him into the light with love. They of course, in true Treasure Hunter Security fashion, must endure harrowing escapes from death as they race to save Peri's twin sister from the deadly Silk Road group that has been wreaking havoc the entire series. But through the action and danger they discover love and get their own HEA. As with the rest of the series, Stella Bloom's narration brings the story to life.
