So good!!

LJ Shen has this amazing ability to make you fall for the anti hero of the story. The way she builds their world and tells their story makes them justified in their behavior and outlook on the world. Christian Miller’s story is told in alternating past and present view points and it is the perfect way to build his character. Intertwined in both the past and present is Arya’s story. These two characters were both broken in their own way because of the other, and were both healed because of the other too. Fantastic story!! So glad to know there will be two others in this world.

Stella Bloom and Joe Arden are simply perfect in their roles for this novel. The audio was really good and added so much to this story.

It wasn't that bad!!!

I agree with some of the reviews this was a very slow burn basically the entire first half was slow slow slow...but once over the hump it actually was very good. The twist and turns the suspense and the unexpected return of love. It's worth a listen.

Joe arden always does amazing but combined with LJs words was utterly perfect! soooo amazing!

LJ Never Disappoints

This is one of my favorite authors with good reason, every book I have read has left me wanting more. Joe Arden and Stella Bloom are excellent narrators. This is a story of a poor boy falling for a rich girl as a teen. They get their second chance but not before he brings down the man (her father) that caused them to be a part.
