Two covert operatives
One chance to get it right

Maddox Kinkade is an expert at managing the impossible. Tasked with neutralizing a lethal bioweapon, she turns to the one person capable of helping her stop the threat of pandemic in time: the love of her life, back from the dead and mad as hell at her supposed betrayal. Recruiting Cole to save millions of lives may be harder than resisting the attraction still burning between them, but Maddox will do whatever it takes...even if it destroys her.

When Maddox crashes back into Cole Matthews' life, he wants to fight back. He wants to hate her. But the crisis is too strong to ignore, and soon the two former lovers find themselves working side-by-side in a breakneck race to stop a world-class killer with a secret that could end everything.

The clock is ticking.

Cliffhanger!!!

Loved the book. It didn't waste time on the history of the main charectors or hold on the grudges, but the cliffhanger ending was just a bit much, considering we don't know if there's a sequal. Bought the book cause I thought it was a Stand alone.

I want to love it

I own the paperback, I'm going to have to wait and read this story. the female reader pauses in all the wrong places. the male is better, but wooden. I'm just not getting into the story the way I should. it's a good story so far. will read on paper.

female narrator was fantastic

female narrator was fantastic

i often don't like narrators' portrayal of the voices of other-gendered characters..

this narrator does a great job of differentiating different characters without losing the flow of narration

Unoriginal Storyline

I could not get into this book. The characters are one dimensional and the spy story is nothing original.

difficult to get into

I found this one difficult to get into. I didn't finish. their tension needed to be grounded in more of the book and less on the history. would've totally dug reading the prequel first.

Sorry but can’t finish it

The story sounds just my cup of tea but the narrators aren’t doing it for me. I guess that narration is very subjective - what one finds good the other may not, so it’s not a specific complaint about the narrators themselves. Also when you find narrators that really do it for you specifically i find it hard to listen to narration that hasn’t got that special quality that does it for me. I did listen to the example and didn’t think I would have a problem but there’s three narrators for this story and it only gave one example.
The storyline sounds perfect so much so I’m going to try to get it in ebook format.
Sorry but didn’t finish it in audible
