Great story .

Helped me understand the importance of love and patience in raising children. The book opened my eyes about how important faith is in a family.

Important for parents with children w/sensory issues

This book is a mother’s account of her journey raising a child with sensory integration issues.
Mary Ann Bradley researched and educated herself after being disappointed by the medical community’s tendency to over-prescribe ssri’s to children.
At that time in the mid to late 1990’s, research on nutrition and the brain-gut connection wasn’t on most pediatricians radar, much less parent’s. Mary Ann eventually educated herself on healthy eating and the brain-gut connection to her child’s behaviors.
As a retired early childhood development specialist, I empathized with this family’s personal journey. This is not a reference or resource book for parents needing professional advice on children w/sensory disorder issues, but is for moms with challenging kids looking for encouragement and support. It’s an inspiring story of a loving mom who relied on her faith, persistence and common sense to peel through the complicated layers of her child’s behaviors. In doing so, she learned the healing power of good nutrition and unconditional love.
