hot and dark

a very good paranormal story with smidge of Darkness and very hot scenes I like the book very much it was very well written and in there to do the very good job I liked it very much and enjoyed it I think I will come back to this book again and listen to it again

Kameron and Vanessa

This is my first book by this author, so I was unsure what to expect, I was not disappointed. The book starts with Travis Kameron the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack waking up in wolf form in a cage with no memory of how he got there - to make matters worse his senses have become dull but most importantly, he has lost the ability to shift back into his human form!

In the cage opposite, he could see a white wolf, a female with the most incredible green eyes, she was watching him but refused to answer when he tried to speak to her via a mental link. She was Vanessa Burns, she had been there for a long time, she didn't know how long because the men keeping her there, kept drugging her. Her brother Aiden, the Alpha of the Outlander Pack was the only person she thought might be looking for her but had it been too long, had he given up by now? Vanessa feared she couldn't last much longer, she's been drugged so many times, they drugged her to wake up, to make her sleep, she's been beaten countless times and shocked by a vicious shock collar just as many, but being raped by Dominic the leader of these men was the worst point of her captivity.

Dominic runs an illegal fighting ring and forces shifters to fight or die Vanessa has lost count of the lives she has taken to survive but she knows she's getting weaker and soon she will be the one to die. Her greatest regret is that she will never see the pup she is carrying.

Over time a connection/bond forms between Travis and Vanessa, Travis leans which pack she is from, her father killed his father but was then killed by her brother. Her father was a cruel and terrible man who had made her life hell. Will Travis hold her father's sins against her?

Days pass, they don't know how many but the day comes when they are put in the ring together, they are supposed to fight to the death - but neither will fight the other. Then just as Dominic is about to shoot one of them they are rescued by her brother Aiden and members of his pack.

What follows is a moving and exciting story about love, betrayal, and learning to trust set against a background of family love, hate and distrust. A really well written and enthralling story.

The narration of this book by Rebecca Winder was excellently done, she managed to capture the essence of the characters together with their feelings which added to my enjoyment of this very well written paranormal love story.

Get this right now! You won't regret it!

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this story. It is hot, steamy, romantic and so much story building! I LOVED THIS!! I couldn't get enough! I have listened to this twice since downloading it! It is about a wolf shifter Vanessa and Alpha wolf shifter Travis. They both end up in a fighting ring where shifters are being pitted against each other in life or death matches and they grow a bond. Vanessa has a secret. One that could kill her and makes it very hard for Travis to protect her, but he tries. And boy is there connection heart flutter inducing! This story does jump time a few times, usually just a few months. This was SUCH a splendid story and the way Rebecca Winder delivers the story is top notch. I don't think I've had the pleasure of listening or reading Desiree L Scott's work before but I sure will now!! This was so worth a credit!

Just the absolute best story. Everything I like to listen about and more. Such a great story I will listen again and again. A keeper!!

Excellent!

I loved the story and the narrator's performance. Travis was a tender, likeable alpha, and the gradual development of the relationship with Vanesss was very sweet. The plot was exciting and engaging. The narrator was excellent.

Great Paranormal Romance

This book is my first book by Desiree Scott and will not be my last. She writes great paranormal romance (my favorite genre). The narration was spot on. The book starts out good and gets even better. I don’t want to give spoilers so my suggestion is to try this book. You will not be sorry. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that the rest of the series will be on Audible soon.

Great Paranormal Romance!

This was my second book from this author, and she really amazes me, because she can write paranormal romance as great as romantic suspense! Crescent Vendetta is the first book in the Vendetta Series. This story is really well written, with a great storyline. Vanessa and Travis are both great characters, and they both share an undeniable chemistry. The side characters are also very interesting! This story has it all! The scenes in the fighting ring are brutal and violent, but after that, the story is suspenseful, romantic, steamy and sweet. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Bear's Shadow! The narration was well done. This was my first listen to Rebecca Winder's voice. She has a soft voice, easy to understand. Fish out of water

I really like these stories where there is someone is a fish out of water. The dialogue between characters is very interesting in these situations.

Decent

So, I will start my review with a caveat. I can enjoy a paranormal/fantasy romance story, but only if there is good balance between the sex/romance stuff and the paranormal aspects fo the story. The story itself, is decent. There is JUST enough paranormal stuff in the book to keep my interest, but barely. I would like to see the future books have a bit more, but that's just me. The narration was pretty good. All in all, It did entertain me enough that I'd be open to the next book in the series.

Shifters

This reminded me of True Blood. Okay with that said. I love the shifter. Looking forward to the next book!
