Publisher's Summary

I want more than a chance. I want you. And I won't take "No" for an answer.

Cats are always supposed to land on their feet, but omega shifter Jesse has done everything but that. After escaping the mental institute he's been held in most of his life, he ends up stranded with a broken leg.

On the trail of an arsonist, alpha wolf Asher Lambert stumbles across a wounded omega guarded by a scarred grizzly shifter who says they were waiting for him. Asher takes them both home, figuring the least he can do is help Jesse get on his feet, literally and figuratively.

Can Asher break away from the known and risk starting a new pack with his mate, his ragtag group of friends, and the silent bear who just won't leave?

Freedom for His Omega is the first audiobook in the Outcast Chronicles. It contains mpreg and knotting.

such an amazing variety of voices

loved the variety of voices, really brought the characters to life. I checked at one point to see if there was more than narrator. I'm loving hearing these books come to life, makes walks much more entertaining.

Just as good as reading it, the Narrator brought this to life with all the different voices he used, it seems like multiple people talking he is just brilliant

Really good! Thoroughly enjoyed it :)

I am now getting into alpha/omega stories, because so far, they've been very good and this is story is no exception.
Jessie is sweetheart, but with a bit of sass in him; while Asher is more the strong, stoic type. They make a really good couple.
This is the start to a series that I see myself continuing, more so if there will be audiobooks narrated by Kenneth Obi.
The narration was very good. I've listened to Mr. Obi before and thought he was OK. In this book I thought he was really, really good. He had different voices for each of the characters, complete with a Tennessee twang(?) (I'm a Brit ex-pat, so not sure how authentic, but sounded great to me).
Definitely recommend!

I got this audio because I really enjoy alpha/omega stories and Kenneth Obi as a narrator. I liked this story. Flowed pretty well. Just wish it was longer, but I wish all books are

Perfection

I own this book and have read it several times. When I saw it was.out in audio it made my day!!. This was my first book that I have listened to that was narrated by Kenneth Obi and he is now one of my favorites. I love the fact that when you listen to him narrating you are actually able to distinguish between the characters and it's not just a monotone mess!!

The book itself is wonderful. Almost a May/ December romance (but not quite). definitely an awesome beginning to a series that is a mix of romance, mpreg, mystery(ish), & shifters. Highly recommend!!!!

Great start

Great start to a new series and a new to me author. I love their rag tagged pack. Casper intrigues me. I want to know more about him.

I'd forgotten how much I loved these guys & really enjoyed the audio book. Kenneth Obi did a great job narrating this story.

Starts nice, the MPREG aspect just feels off

It is a bit of a shame, I liked the start, the setup for the characters and the building up of the overall relationship with the team. But it just did not work for me once the pregnancy part came in. It just seemed too easy, no real explanation or setup (are we by now supposed to take male pregnancy in shifter stories just as a given?) and the dynamic did just feel a bit too much like a straight relationship.
I think you could have turned Jessy into a woman without pretty much anything but pronouns and such having to be switched out. I do think there should be more of an effort to work with the differences.

The story also could have used more tension in the second half. Jesse has just run off, it would have been nice to play a bit with things such as people looking for him and thus allowing for scenes where Asher could protect him from that.

The authors are not writing badly, so I really think it feel flat of its overall potential.

The narration was very good though, I shall definitely look for more books narrated by Kenneth Obi.

Shifter babies are the cutest!

This was an interesting book although the beginning was a bit unexpected. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it and here’s the review. 😊

Omega Jesse has been locked up half of his life in a mental asylum and when he finally escaped, he ran into a werebear and broke his leg. Scared out of his wits for his life, Jesse was surprised to find the bear helping him and taking care of him while waiting for rescue. And the mysterious bear insists that the chivalry is coming. 😳 Cue and enter werewolf Alpha, Asher. Asher is jaded from his job as the group leader of bounty hunters and due to a tumultuous childhood. So when he found a mountain lion Omega and a bear Alpha waiting together claiming that they’ve been expecting him, he had no choice but to rescue these two stray shifters. Asher is insanely attracted to Jesse and vice versa. But the thing is Asher doesn’t believe he and Jesse have a future together. He’s old, grumpy and jaded while Jesse is still so young and full of energy and possibilities. 😭 But the Omega has different ideas about what he wants. When Asher’s pack leader gave him an ultimatum to choose between his pack and Jesse, Asher has to find a way to ensure the safety of not only his love but also all the other shifters in his bounty hunters group. 😌

It was a good balance between slow-burn and heat. Despite Mpreg books famous for being really smutty, this book is low on heat. 😁 We didn’t get that much of character development between the two MCs because this is more focused on world building and seeding for the next books in the series. Nonetheless, the UST and run-chase between Asher and Jesse was realistic and fun. What stood out for me in this book is Kenneth Obi’s narration. 😍 I’m impressed with how vivid and realistic he can distinguish between two MCs. It was like a dual narration. 😱 His narration really elevated my enjoyment of this book. I’m happy to see they got a merry HEA and a new path for their pack. I can’t wait to see other alphas in the pack get their own HEAs. Overall, it was fun, short and sexy. I listened this in one sitting so we can say this is Shin approved. 😉

I really enjoyed the book and listening to it just make it that much better. It took me awhile to get use to ashers voice but once I did i really enjoyed it. I think Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job.
