I'm returning this one

I'm about a third of the way through and I just can't listen to this narrator any longer. She doesn't have a pleasant voice and her dialogue is done in monotone. People don't sound like that! It's bad. I'm going to return it and get my credit back.

So far the story is ok, but I'd recommend reading it!

Stiff amateur narration

Decent story but tough to get thru due to terrible narration, will avoid this narrator in future

Ok story but tiring "who's boss" conflict.

Story only 3/4 engaging. Narrator not so good at rough male parts and to girly sounding to take seriously as any kind of tough badass.

Mediocre

Decent plot, but terrible detective work. Far fetched explanations and deductions, painful dialogue, and downright stupid actions taken by the sheriff. Overall, it’s just not believable. Disappointed - was hoping to have found a decent American detective series. I’ll be going back to my British DCI series.

Violence

Way too violent for my taste although the story was good. I liked the telling without cursing.
