Publisher's summary

After Brendan and his mother witness a completely random tragedy, his carefully controlled life begins to fall apart. First he starts having nightmares and panic attacks, and then he loses focus in his daily life. His board of directors insists he take a vacation at a so-called "relaxation destination", and to make matters worse, they've hired newly minted psychiatrist, Dr. Dirk Melovitch, to accompany him.

Dirk, whose job it is to help Brendan learn to relax, walks into the lobby of Brendan's hotel wearing a borrowed suit and an attitude that rubs Brendan the wrong way from the moment they meet. They head for the airport and their carefully planned itinerary goes out the window, one small setback at a time.

From the airports of New York and Atlanta, to the long, lonely highways of Texas, to an upscale rehab destination in Santa Fe, Brendan and Dirk each try to gain the upper hand until both find out that it's not just life that can get a guy all stirred up.

Narrator

The guy is as bland as Kylie Stewart maybe they are siblings. A narrator who can make the hot scenes so bland and cold just isn’t someone who should be narrating books

Another great Maxfield story

I found Z A Maxfield by accident and I'm glad. I like the guys, story, erotic writing, and the little town of St. Nachos. It has some of the best erotic writing I've encountered. Beautifully written sex scenes that are not overdone nor so explicit as to make a sailor blush.

I'm glad I found this story.

Intervention Interlude

CEO Brendan is slowly spiraling through flashbacks and panic attacks and drinking himself into oblivion just to get a little sleep. His twin brother is worried and his company right hand man agrees that something must be done before he does himself or the brand any more harm. Finding himself on a road trip with a very young and handsome shrink on their way to rehab turns out more epic adventure and Brendan has no idea what will happen once/if they arrive. Clever insights on mental health conditions and PTSD.

I liked this one better than the first

Still not wild about this narrator. I think I’d recommend reading instead of listening to this title.

the first was better, but-

I preferred the 1st book because there was more conflict when it came to the main characters. yes, there was more plot but not enough action. idk, if you like a feel-good fluffy story with a sweet ending, you'd like it.
