Undeniably Wonderful! Story~Characters~Narration!

It is impossible to not fall in love with J. Saman’s books, from her wonderful writing style to the amazing characters and storylines she creates and incredible world building. She created something very special when she created the “Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires” series, with each book just as fabulous as the next, all stand on their own, but some characters crossover into each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This sixth book of the series is Keegan Fritz and Loomis Powell’s story, and is a friends-to-lovers romance, one that starts off as a fake relationship. The story swept me right in, grabbing my attention and holding it captive the entire time. Keegan, a Hollywood actor and friend of Tinsley Fritz, new to fatherhood under odd circumstances, wants to keep it private, out of the news, and away from paparazzi. Keegan studied in med school and is interning, but she has her own secret, almost like living a double life, and she only shared this with a select few, not knowing how others will think. Her stop for coffee turns into a disaster, though Loomis almost came to her rescue, just not fast enough. Then her ex shows up and Loomis senses the tension, so he jumps in and says he and Keegan are together. A fantastic scene and start for what was to come, a fake relationship where both had commitment issues and were not looking for anything real, but there was nothing fake about the chemistry they had between them, smoking hot chemistry. I thought these two were great together and for each other, Keegan was fantastic with baby Fen, too. I loved all the layers of this wonderfully plotted story and how it all plays out, with a perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, some heartwarming charm, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. J. Saman, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt are a perfect pairing, with voices and talent that complement each other and an entrancing performance that keeps you glued to the story. Their character voices and portrayal of each were fitting, and I loved how they owned their roles, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Brentmoor was a natural in Keegan’s role and was incredible at showcasing her personality and demeanor. Watt did the same as Loomis and was just as fabulous, accent and all. Both were fantastic performing the roles of all the secondary and side characters, too. The story’s pacing and tone were perfect, and the characters’ emotions were conveyed so well that you felt them all. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

Kick Your Feet Cute!

Loomis and Keegan are so freaking cute, swoony and undeniably hot! I have loved both characters from the previous books and actually booed Keegan when she got back together with Alden. I wanted Loomis to make he’s grand stand for her! So I was so excited to learn this was their book! No shame to Alden, but he is no Loomis!

Keegan has always been the good Fritz, never rocking the boat and always doing what she believes she is supposed to. Loomis is the Wild Hollywood bad boy, with a heart so big! Their story was fun, exciting with a dash of suspense and I loved every minute! Loomis has a bit of a surprise in this one and he’s absolutely precious. Keegan also has a secret that only a handful of people know about. They enter into a fake relationship to protect themselves and each other…but we all know how that goes! I absolutely love this world so much. While most everyone is related in some way, and some are kids of best friends and such. I still consider all of these found family. Loomis gained a huge found family in this group and I love it to pieces! Now the next book is the one I’ve been waiting for this whole series. His parents book way my absolute from their series and I know his will be too!

Fabulous narrating: Will Watt and Samantha Brentmoor deliver a great performance.

Loomis and Keegan have known each other a while. But nothing ever became of them. When their paths cross while he is back in town with his newly discovered son. The way they started and ended was great to read. The way Loomis embraced fatherhood and Keegan supporting him. I love Vander lol. It was a good read and I loved how it all wrapped up.

Keegan Fritz! THE WOMAN YOU ARE! The good girl of the Fritz fam is up for her first scandal and I absolutely knew her story would just blow us away! I have been waiting on pins and needles for more of her and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. A doctor AND a romance author!? OK, SUPERWOMAN! Loomis was the absolute PERFECT compliment to her character in every way and I just loved the way both him and Fen fit seamlessly into her life. Julie never ceases to amaze me with this wonderful group of Boston Elites. Each story gets better and better and it becomes so much more rich as we learn more about each individual puzzle piece. Octavia Abbott-Fritz is the monarch of my dreams and I can only hope to be like her one day. LOL
Fierce and protective and strong, Julie writes the most amazing female leads and even more delicious male leads. This story was full of heart, the most undeniable connection between Loomis and Keegan and to watch their story unfold was a true joy. 5/5 stars!!

When I tell you I have waited my WHOLE LIFE for Vander's story. I don't think you guys understand how much of an understatement that is. NOT TO BE DRAMATIC BUT I LOVE HIM. So excited for the next chapter in this wonderful world!

Keegan Fritz, one of the infamous Fritz grandchildren, has always been one of the mysteries to me in the friend group in previous books. She’s been there, but I feel like we didn’t know much about her. Now we are starting to see her fall in love with one of London’s bad boys.

Loomis, a famous actor, and Keegan have met through mutual friends, but nothing happened. Keegan was in a relationship until recently and Loomis was going through finding out that he had a child he never knew about. Now they are in the same place, at the same time, needing one another help.

Keegan broke her wrist and is in a semi-life crisis with her career, so she wants to get away from it all. While Loomis needs to hide away for a bit to keep his son’s existence a secret. So they go away to Keegan’s uncle’s cottage, and while they are starting a fake relationship for the public, in private, they never expect to be anything more.

Until they are.

These two were so much fun to listen to while they fell in love. Keegan has always been the good girl and Loomis couldn’t be further from that. They balance one another out in a way that no one else could.

Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt do a fantastic job in this dual narrated book. Will was the perfect Loomis and his voice was absolutely dreamy. He had the bad boy twang, while still making me, as the reader, fall in love with his character. Samantha is always great and her voice brought so much life to Keegan.

I am so in love with this series. Loomis and Keegan’s relationship is spicy, sweet and everything I love about a good romance novel. I loved how Loomis handled becoming a surprise dad and how much he supports Keegan is following her path. There’s also some suspense that kept me addicted. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Love and highly recommend.

Every time I listen to J Saman, I know I am in for a treat. I kick off my shoes and relax, enjoying the story. This sixth book in her Boston's Irresistible Billionaires, and they are all so good! It's Keegan and Loomis's turn, and what a great friends to lovers story. Keegan,from a wealthy family has ended a relationship and her actor friend, Loomis is a new single dad. Both need a break from life, and when Tinsley, their friend suggests a fake relationship to get away from the paparazzi, they take it. But each has had a crush on the other for a long time, never engaging for their own reason, and now in close proximity are finding it difficult to keep this fake! But there is more! A thread of suspense with someone trying to ruin them. Who could it be? Will it ruin their budding love? I could not get enough of this fun listen. Loomis is swoony. Not only the accent and the amazing single dad thing, his personality is sweet and loving! Keegan is so good, finding herself, learning her path and letting her heart show her the way. And Fen! What a cutie! This is a fantastic addition to the series and a great beach listen.

Narrated by the talents of Will Watt and Samantha Brentmoor, it's easy to understand why I couldn't stop. Watt has a voice that just melts my heart every time he performs. A master at understanding his character, he is amazing as Loomis. Brentmoor could not be a better match for this listen. Her way of finding the personality of Keegan is spot on, and the flow and banter exceptional. Love these two!

An Island romp

When writing a book with multiple accents duet as opposed to dual needs to be considered. To have one narrator do both males and females in multiple accents just takes you out of the story. The male narrators female characters sounded um… fabulous. But characters don’t sound the same when different people narrate them.
The tale is cute the MMC takes too much time with inner monologues. Satisfying villain take down in the end. Good epilogue. Dare I say almost too much spice.

Best of the series!

Another adorable, sexy, and entertaining entry into the Boston's Irresistible Billionaires series- and this one may be my favorite of the batch!

If you've been listening/reading the series then you were probably also excited to be getting Keegan and Loomis' story at long last! Our delicious British actor and the lovable OBGYN/aspiring romance novelist. And poor Keegan- what an epically unfortunate start to her story. Being broken up with after dropping the L bomb and enduring double-career sidelining injury to her wrist. But Loomis to the rescue- who not only helps her after he fall but conveniently thwarts her ex by telling him THEY are dating. He's got his own drama- an unexpected surprise baby...er toddler....and the press of course are hunting him down for the scoop. So he jets away to the beach to get away from it all, and of course why not bring along the girl he can't get off his mind, Keegan.

The characters in this one are just so lovable. Loomis is charmer- I'm usually a goner for a dapper British bad boy with a dirty talking streak. But he's got a big heart and there's so much more to him than his image. And I loved how committed he is to his unexpected kiddo Fen. And I related SO much to Keegan, not only her desire for love and emotional reciprocity, but also her tension in the career path she feels she should take vs the passion that calls to her. And that paired with Loomis' unexpected insecurities makes for some fun dynamics between them.

The setting is the perfect place for that solitude/forced proximity dynamic and all of the beachy tension to build. We've got some dual pining, and their "fake" dynamic quickly turns muddy. They have a great chemistry, some good emotional development, and of course we have that J. Saman spice that's spicing.

Will Watt is endlessly charming in anything he narrates- the most delicious British leading man. And Samantha Brentmoor never disappoints She always delivers so much vulnerability and emotional nuance. The dual narration is such a fabulous listen- great performances that enhance the charm of the story.
