Plot Twist

I absolutely adore this story! Charleigh and River, it was insta lusty/love, but I really loved it and it was a slow burn too! Both characters have an air of mystery about them, but slowly start to let each other in. He knows she’s on the run from something hence her nick name “little runner”. She knows he’s a good guy that may be doing some bad things. Their story has a lot of push and pull and so much tension! Nolan is the freaking cutest kid and I love how he calls River Daddy O! The plot twist I figured out right before it happened and I’m still shook! This story was so much fun! It had a slightly slow start for me, otherwise fantastic read!

This book is so amazing!!! The first book in the Moonlit Ridge series. I was intrigued from the moment I started listening. I felt like I was in the book!! The narrators were spot on!! narration of this book is fantastic.

River is an amazing main male character. The author does a great job with flashbacks and growing the characters.

Charlie such an amazing soul as she finds her footing and her walls drop you can't help but feel all of her emotions her pain and happiness.

Charleigh & River

This is my first book from A.L. Jackson and it was chosen as our buddy read for the month with my bookstagram girls and it did not disappoint. I did not know know what to expect but once I got into the first chapter I was hooked. River the MMC is very likable and Charleigh the FMC is intriguing.

From the beginning of this story we are introduced to Charleigh who happens to walk into a tattoo shop to get a tattoo and gets River's attention immediately. He is drawn to her from the moment he sees her but can not quite put his hand as to why. He keeps thinking it must be her beauty and her distinct vibe that no one know who she is. Charleigh just so happens to befriend Raven, Rivers sister and that is how both characters get to know each other a lot more. River senses that Charleigh is running away from something or someone when she has moments of panic attacks and of running away. River know he needs to help her and be her security while she is facing her demons.

This book may feel like any other romance book until A.L. throws a curve ball and blows your mind with the secret that both Charleigh and River have been carrying for so long. I was not expecting it and let me tell you it will keep you on the edge of your lounge while reading their story. A.L. Jackson...…5 Stars girl...….Hell I would even give you more if I can. The drama, the suspense, the anxiety is gives you. IM SOOOOO READY FOR BOOK 2 NOW.
