Started reading to better understand a child in my life and awakened to see that there is also a closely related adult in my life with the same issue! This feels like the beginning of an important journey that must begin.

I’m 40 and in the process of being diagnosed with adhd and this book is amazingly helpful. I don’t want to change who I am but I do want to have better control over the things that are adhd related that make my life so much more difficult than I feel like it needs to be. This book is full of helpful ideas and suggestions which I love and plan on implementing in my life. The fact that Dr. Hamdani also has adhd is really helpful because she knows what it’s like dealing with it and I think that gives her a unique perspective and understanding.

This was my first book about ADHD and also the first audiobook I have ever finished. I have never been able to read a book all the way through because of how much I struggle with distraction and follow through. This audiobook kept me completely engaged. I honestly could not stop listening.

So many times I found myself thinking, “That’s me… that’s me again… that’s definitely me.” There were moments that made me emotional because I finally felt seen and understood. The way everything is explained is so clear and relatable, and for the first time, it actually made sense to me.

Finishing this book feels like a huge accomplishment for me. And honestly, now it’s time to listen to it again. That’s just how my brain works. Sometimes I need to hear things more than once to fully absorb them. Thank you so much for writing this book. It truly means more to me than I can put into words.
