Publisher's summary

This is the final book in this series. Not a standalone.

’Til death do us part.

Aric James Monaghan promised Jillian Knight Portland. With a heavy heart and a light bag, she travels to the West Coast for the man she loved. In a blink, her worlds collide, holding her hostage to a past filled with lies, deceit, and revenge.

Four caskets.

Two bodies.

It all started with a boy and a girl — their tragic love story is shared through the eyes of the enemy.

Every word fades dreams and shatters memories as life slips away. Jillian needs a Knight, Jessica needs a miracle, and together they need a savior.

This book contains explicit language and sexual content.

Love Hate Relationship With This Trilogy

I Kindle purchased and read all three books several years ago and enjoyed all of them. When I ran across 1 during an Audible search, I thought it might be nice to listen. Wrong! As far as my mind/ear connection is concerned, Stephanie Kay just didn't have the skill to pull off the first two book. This was a complex sort of story and disconcerting, annoying, and generally distracting when females and males sounded the same. Or, when, in the middle of speaking, she'd slip out of character. Nice voice; a little too high for me (books 1 and 2), but she basically didn't chops to pull it off. By book three, she'd improved a lot, either by virtue of training or narration experience,
To tell the truth, with books 1 and 2, I was so caught up in narration annoyance, I missed a lot of the story. This third book had my full attention and I enjoyed it. This points out a problem I have with the "samples" we get before purchase: If it's a single narrator, we never get their voice with multiple characters, and if it's dual narrators, the sample provides only 1. So, it's a super limited sample with which to judge the narration of an entire book.

Epic conclusion to an amazing trilogy!

“I want to be your everything, but only while I’m here. If the day comes that I’m not, then let me go. Let me be your greatest memory.”

The conclusion to this trilogy broke me and healed me all at the same time. There is nothing easy about the story that unfolds or the horror that is experienced by the characters. This book ups the ante on the suspense aspect and certainly had tears rolling down my face at so many moments.

“Sometimes we weather the storm, mourn the casualties, and find the sun on the horizon has never been brighter.”

I loved the play on Day and Knight throughout this trilogy and the different way each life was needed for the twins to claim happiness. Jessica needed the Day while Jackson needed the Knight, his miracle in the love of Ryn couldn’t have been found in his Day. Both needed to find someone to feel safe with, to finally trust their heart with forever.

“You want to know what comes after the epilogue?” “What?” “A new book filled with endless possibilities.”

When their carefully crafted new life collides with their past, things start to get messy. My heart ached over the choices forced upon them again, it was like happiness was just taunting them at every turn. The sacrifices they made were tainted by an underlying darkness that destroyed everything for nothing.

Broken but not without hope, Jessica’s path to happiness is not an easy one but what I loved was her strength to show herself that she was enough and love was possible no matter what. Luke was the light and sunshine she needed and he OWNED my heart through these stories, the ultimate match for the spitfire that is Jessica. Top Favorite Series!!

⭐⭐ Needs 10 stars ⭐⭐

This book was incredible! The series was incredible. I cant write a review that is worthy because I have no words to describe the emotion that I feel. Jewel E Ann is an amazing author. The story was in depth. It made me smile, laugh and CRY. The narration was perfect for the characters. I've waited for so long for this to be released on audio and it was soooo worth the wait. Jewel E Ann will always be one of my favorite authors. JEA you blow me away! ❤

Great story - I didn’t care for narrator

The narrator was tolerable but barely. I just don’t understand some of her choices for the different voices, especially Vic’s. The story was great!!
