One of the key difficulties with specifying and defending an absolute beginning point of the space-time continuum is that the beginning has to be located either within the structure of space-time itself, in which sense it is not a total or absolute beginning, or the beginning must be located outside of space-time itself in which case the word "beginning" is meaningless since without time there can be no "beginning".

Where in the world did queer go off to? Is it reigning in the ether? Did it fly up to the heavens without so much as a forewarning here on earth? Once upon a time, it was all the rage to belong to the category of "queer", that intellectual wing of the avant-garde movement to transcend gender and traditional sexual expression. Marriage was stifling and gender was singularly repressing that sense of je-ne-sais-quoi. Blah-blah-blah. You know the drill.

The prophet Isaiah proclaims his message to a rebellious people, "Come let us reason together" (Isaiah 1:18). God uses our minds, our reasoning, our emotions, and our circumstances to bring us to faith. Since the laws of logic flow from God's character and people are made in the image of God, we need never shy away from the use of logical arguments to touch people's heart and soul. While logical arguments do not, by themselves, generally bring people to saving faith, they are powerful tools the Holy Spirit can use.
