Horrible Narrator!
The story was adequate and a fun creepy read for the Halloween season. It was fairly surface level with undeveloped characters but an easy read. This book needs to be re-recorded as this is the worst narrator I have ever heard.

I wouldn't buy this one
The narration was so grating and shrill, it was difficult to listen to! what were they thinking! She was so affected it was bizarre. It took all I had to put her tone aside to listen. The great "reveals" were flat, did not advance the story well at all. The characters were not well developed, the plot had potential but was repetitive. This was a very disappointing novel.

Big MEH
I have been anticipating posting a review since I started this book. This is the absolute WORST narrator i've ever listened to. I heard really good things about the book so I stuck with it just for the content. It was super annoying having to listen to her. Just terrible.
As for the book... it was okay. Good twist... but that's about the only thing I have to say about it. I bet it would have been a ton better without the narration.

Opinion
The plot and characters are great ! I really was surprised with who the villain turned out to be. But the narrator is horrible! The voice work is annoying, I finished the book by reading it not the audible.

Great story but…

Trite
I’m glad this didn’t cost me a credit. The plot was thin, no new territory explored there.
The characters were one dimensional, not nuanced at all, the straw man/red herring too obvious by half. His completely illogical devotion to the doctor can’t be explained by two sexual encounters. All in all, plot wise, this book is weak.
The narration on a par with the writing. No vocal character, not much variation in presentation.

A must read
This fast-paced thriller is a must read. I am loving Frieda McFadden’s books and not just because they are available for free on kindle unlimited. The twist- I thought I had it figured out but I most definitely did not.
Side note: the audible narrator sounded a bit robotish.
