Sublime

There is only one problem with an Emily Henry book: it ends. Just when you are in your really happy place (sorry), it tugs on your last heart string and credits roll. Each new Henry book is my favorite, and this is no exception. I adore Miles, and his Grand Gesture may be the most original and heartfelt ever. Daphne is broken and delightful, and I loved her journey of self discovery. Just a perfect gem of a book that I wanted never to end. it goes without saying that narration by Julia Whelan is just icing on the cake. She IS the voice of Emily Henry books, and she is superb in interpreting them. Let the countdown begin to next year.

Loved the humor and relatable characters.

Funny story is one of my favorite by. Emily Henry. Great characters and humor. Loved how Julia Whelan narrated the audiobook. Makes me want to visit Lake Michigan.

So Good!!!

I was going to skip this one, but I’m so glad I didn’t. This book is more than I thought it would be. Miles and Daphne are both broken people from inept parents and partners who left them. Daphne moved in with Miles after her fiancé left her for Miles’s girlfriend. Their romance gorgeously unfolds in a slow burn, roommates romance. They learn to trust themselves and to love each other. This book is my favorite Emily Henry book.

Lovely rom-com with lovely leads

This story hit me in all the feels. I’m not sure listening to it while PMSing was the right choice, but lots of laughs and tears. Characters I really cared about who were gently flawed. The narrator was awesome. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and can be very critical of their performances, but she did amazing. I was impressed with how her voice for Miles sounded masculine but not forced. I loved it all

Julia Whelan’s narration 100%. I really got emotional near the end. My stomach was in knots. Highly recommend!

Another enjoyable rom-com from Emily Henry

Worst possible circumstances brought Daphne and Miles together as unlikely roommates, but you can count on Emily Henry to bring their story full circle for a happy ending!
