They should retire to their "inner chamber" and pray to the Father who sees in secret and rewards openly. Then he said, "After this manner therefore pray." Charles Fillmore, born in 1854, is one of the foremost theologians, philosophers, and thinkers in the movement we call New Thought today. The doctrine of Jesus Christ stands out prominently for its practical application in all the affairs of life. It is not alone a religion, in the limited aspect in which that word is used, but a rule of living, doing, thinking, being.

Metaphysical bible students recognize in the Gospel of John a certain spiritual quality that is not found in the other Gospels.
