Great story and the performances were amazing! So many twists and turns! I couldn't stop listening.

I am growing very weary of so many stories being the same in this particular genre. Sometimes I finish a good book and then can’t seem to land on anything that keeps my attention. Decided to give this one a shot. It was so good. With every Credit, I highly recommend. It was one of those books. I did not want to end. And that saying something…

Wow, what a wild ride!

I knew that I was going to like this book, because the author and performer are amazingly talented. however, what I wasn't prepared for for was the depth of the story and how it reached out and pulled me in immediately. there have been very few times that I've listened to an audible and immediately wanted to go back and listen to it again. That's the way I feel about this book. It's one that stays with you long after you finished it. Miss Jewel really knew how to draw the reader in. This book deserves the highest rating for story development, depth of characters, plot, suspense, and all around an amazing listen. Make this your next listen.

Oh my goodness, this was awesome! It’s Finally Sunny… and I Spent It Inside with This Wild Book 😅

Such a wild ride! Total psychological thriller that had me yelling at my phone like, “Are you serious right now?!” 🤯 I loved all the characters. I hated all the characters. Honestly, I loved hating them—would 100% listen again. 😂

The narrators were fantastic, and the author crushed it with the details. I could totally picture the restaurant scenes, the creepy houses, the beach moments—it all felt super vivid without being overdone.

The twists had me second-guessing everyone. I was rooting for characters I probably shouldn’t have, but that’s the fun of it, right? It really made me think about how easily people can fall into emotional traps. Say all the right things—“I see you, I appreciate you”—and suddenly it’s like boom, you’re in deep. I can definitely see how people fall for it.

Wow. This book was such an eye-opener. I had just seen something similar on Netflix where people get caught up in catfishing and gaslighting, and this totally hit the same nerve. Super creepy, super real, and totally entertaining.

Anyway—loved it. Twisty, intense, a little too real at times, and absolutely worth the listen. 🎧🔥📚

This was a great listen - very complex and kept me wanting to know more. Lisa Jewell’s books are always such a hit and this was another great one.

Chilling & outstanding

The use of the narrators from different points of view was really well done. Absolutely chilling, especially when the male narrator was telling the main character’s story from the first person. Great suspense & plot twists. I devoured it in 2 days, sometimes listening to it in 15 minute increments whenever I could squeeze it in. This was one of those books where you might cancel you may plans to finish it.
