After thinking they had finally found peace, the group finds themselves in the midst of chaos. Having to break Gabe out of prison, Ellie and Zach have to turn their backs on their people once more. Deciding they have to end this all for once, the three of them set out to destroy Gabe's father once and for all.

Chrys has searched all of the Underworld to find a way to open Tartarus and bring her father, Hades, back to life. It was her fault he was sent there, and she doesn't care if she begins the end of the world to save him. Finally finding a clue on how to open the gates to hell itself, she leaves the Underworld and searches for the god Aether.

Chrys has been in the Underworld for thousands of years, hidden away by her father Hades from all the other gods. He's afraid that if someone finds out about her, they will destroy her because of the dichotomous power that she holds - the power of life and death. So, she has remained in the Palace of Hades all her life, making very little friends and always bored out of her mind.

It's been three months since Chrys agreed to marry Zeus, and so far she hasn't figured out how to get out of this engagement. Not to mention she's fighting with her father, Hades, constantly and doesn't know if anything will be able to go back to normal. Meanwhile, Huntley is still in London and is trying his best to help Chrys. He will stop at nothing to get her back, and to finally tell her how he truly feels.

Huntley knows time is running out to save Chrys from the marriage, and everything is riding on the mysterious box Hades has given Prometheus. Now all they have to do is sneak into Olympus, find Chrys, and convince Zeus she is already married to Prometheus. Easy as that. The problem is, Chrys has no knowledge of the plan. She feels all alone in a new world, surrounded by gods who are selfish and out to get her. Will she be able to last long enough for Huntley and the others to find her? There is only one Gargoyle left. It is only a matter of time now before the Twelve Generals defeat the remaining Gargoyle and open the gates of hell to let their brethren take over the world. It has been 2,000 years and Gwen and the others are ready to be done.
