Short but packed full

I know this was short but it packed a punch. I was drawn in from the start. It was easy to get caught up in the magic of it all. Jade and her sister Evangeline, or Evie, are very close. They are all they have left as family. Evie is part faery and Jade an elemental. Living in the human world is taking a lot out of Evie. They head out to take a little walk in the forest out from their house. Wanting to visit faery. Evie ventures further as Jade waits on her. Neither know they each will soon meet a Fae man.

I loved the adventure of it all and can’t wait for more. The narrator was so amazing. I recommend the audiobook. It’s an added bonus to making everything even more real.

Entertaining short prequel to Ever Shade

An entertaining short prequel to Ever Shade, book 1 in the Dark Faerie Tale series. It tells of two sisters, Jade, a human fire witch and Evangeline who is half Fae, and what happens when circumstances push them into going into the land of Fae, disregarding their dead mothers warning. It is a story of love found and lost, of consequences, discovery and heartbreak. The narrator fit the story nicely and brought out the characters personalities well. The duel stories of the sisters and the faerie men they meet is enthralling and it sets the stage for book 1 in the series well.

Love the backstory

I loved getting to know more about the backstory of Evie and Jade. I did think it was too short through and would have loved a longer story! So sad too. But I’m still left wondering what happened with Jack!

Sisterly love

It was great to get some back story on this character to see what cause her to be to the person she is as she is one of the most interesting Christmas of the series .Jade's love her for her came thought so strong as did Evie’s spirit. Wish it was longer but loved it from start to finish
