Worth it.

I think we can all agree, the first book was Meh, the second book got better. But the third, this one, made it all worth it… I cannot wait to start the next one

Wonderful!

Definitely my favorite in the series so far! It did take a minute for me to get into it, but once it took off… oh my goodness! Such a great read and the narrator is perfect as always—so talented.

One of my all time favorites in this genre

The Throne of Glass series is in a league all its own. In my opinion, a masterpiece. The world building SJM puts into her stories is phenomenal, but this series is truly a work of art. Heir of Fire is my favorite in the series although Queen of Shadows I love just as much, The series has to be read in its entirety to fully get the whole depth of the story. The full effect, detail and emotion is only felt when you’ve read all the books which I highly recommend. It’s truly epic. Well worth the hours of reading. If you want to escape and be immersed in a fantasy world, this is your series. Read the books in order. Persevere if sometimes the detail gets a little long - it’s worth it.
The narrator is awesome. So glad they kept the same narrator.

If you weren’t sure about TOG, this is the book that’ll change your mind

The story:
Just so, so fun, start to finish. I had a hard time originally getting into TOG, coming from devouring ACOTAR in two months time. The first two of TOG were most definitely YA, this one felt like the author was leaning more into the story and has me excited for the events following. I’m positive this book was the deciding factor for me of whether or not I would continue the series, and I most certainly am.
The performance:
Elizabeth Evan’s voice is exactly what I’d imagine our main character would sound like, but unfortunately her male voices are cringe-worthy at best. She depends her voice in a way that makes them all sound the same, but also takes all inflection away from the characters, somehow making them feel one-dimensional. I would love to see an unabridged version of tog, with a full cast of course, but I do with Elizabeth Evans would have just read the male voices in her own voice.

Best So Far!

Favorite in the series so far! The character development in this one is great. You learn a lot about their background, and see lots of changes in personality and they are growing up.

A+ character development

I have been very pleased with this series so far. My one problem with the first two books was that the main character always came off as sort of… spoiled and whiny. I get that she’s young and hurt and all that jazz, but her attitude sometimes was still pretty of obnoxious.
HOWEVER, I felt like she grew so much as a person in this book and it was just *chef’s kiss*
As a person who is working through my own crap, it was beautiful to watch her learn to face her trauma and stand back up every time the world tried to force her down.
Overall, I definitely recommend.

Just perfect. Perfect plot. Perfect everything.

SJM did it again with this perfect book. The right amount of triumph, mystery, surprises, and devastation. This book, with its powerful protagonist, will have you on the edge of your seat!
