Dieser Heinrich Schulte-Altenroxel berichtet ganz detailliert von seinen Erfahrungen in Transvaal auf dem Gebiet des heutigen Südafrika – mitten in der deutschen Kolonialzeit. Dort gründete er eine Farm mit dem Namen „Westfalia“. Lena begibt sich mit dem Buch als Ausgangspunkt auf eine Spurensuche und erfährt, was der Kolonialismus von damals mit der Region Westfalen zu tun hat und welche Auswirkungen er heute noch hat.
