The Irish accent, good lord 🤤

This slow burn starts with a sham marriage with a contract killer and a multiple deleter. It has everything from suspense to spice and foods that are not so nice. (Honestly, I think @brynne_weaver hates food) lark and Lachlan navigate this wild story with humor and violence and ice cream scoops.

Lachlan has an Irish accent and it’s delicious 🤤

You don’t have to start with Butcher & Blackbird but I highly recommend it.

HOLY FREAKING MOLY! This book is damn good. I literally loved getting to know Lark and Lachlan! I don’t think I would change much about the book, BUT I would 100% add a bit more murder into it, but damn… It was amazing!

Lark is everything l've wanted & needed. She’s funny, somewhat straight forward, a multiple deleter that doesn’t take any shit.

Lachlan is a yummy contract k!ller that wears glasses and is tatted. Do I need to say more?

Once again, the author filled this book with giggles, some gore, and spicy love. I truly can’t think of anything that is better than that.

I very much enjoyed this book! It feels different than B&B. You're getting a completely different vibe and story, but with similar components to B&B - that I’m sure you’re gonna love!

I will for sure be reading this book again! I might be a little obsessed with Lachlan and Lark, but I seriously cannot wait for Rose and Fionn’s book.

Twist of Love

I enjoyed this! The twist at the beginning, and through out the book. The way she falls in love.

Such a good sequel and performance

This book was actually so good. Butcher and blackbird left some really big shoes to fill for me and I do feel like overall Brynne Weaver didn’t let me down. The book is a little slow to start, which semi makes sense because it’s advertised as a slow burn. But in comparison to the first book, it just felt like it was a long slow burn to get to the stuff that I loved about Butcher and blackbird. It’s still full of the same witty humor, banter, and dark humor that I absolutely devoured from the first book once you really get into it. I absolutely love Lachlan Kane. Overall, I didn’t like the plot as much as Butcher and blackbird, and the storyline did feel a little forced at times, but I still found myself giddy to get back to listen to this book

Words cannot begin to express my thoughts. Brynne is a master at her craft. Eric and Samantha brought this incredible story to life. This is a book that I will think of long after finishing.
