Witch Myth Christmas

When one of her first-grade students goes missing the day after Christmas, Noelle Summers becomes an honorary detective for the Yew Hollow Police Department to find him. With help of her two best friends and her cousin Morgan, Noelle discovers that an evil witch has plans to abduct all of the kids in town. Can she find her student in time to save him and the rest of Yew Hollow’s children?

Witch Myth Yew Hollow

Morgan Summers hates talking to ghosts, but when the victim of a ghastly murder asks her for help from beyond the grave, Morgan can’t say no. Soon, Morgan herself is blamed for the murder, and the town is out for blood. Can Morgan clear her name, discover the real killer, and help her new ghostly friend cross over to the next life?

Witch Myth Wildfire

When a 16-year-old girl disappears from her hometown without a trace, stumping the local police force, the only person who has any hope of finding her is her older sister, Kennedy. The siblings share an otherworldly bond, which leads Kennedy to the peculiar, deserted town of Yew Hollow. Kennedy soon uncovers a coven of witches, a tragic secret, and something that she never knew about herself. When her number-one priority is her little sister’s safety, Kennedy’s decision to stay in or leave Yew Hollow is the hardest one she’ll ever make.

Good story

Excellent story but I had trouble with the narration. The characters were interesting. I preferred the pace of the first couple stories. I struggled toward the end.

2/3 great 1/3 ok

The last 1/3 is narrated by Langelee. She mispronounced a lot of simple words. At first it grates on the ear, then it becomes comical. The first 2/3 was well done.

Mispronounced word were irritating

I enjoyed the storyline and the voices of the narrators, but when the last narrator consistently mispronounced some easy words it grated on my nerves

Great story, poor narration.

The story was very interesting and compelling. The narrator had good voice delineation for the characters, and good inflection, but pronounced so many words incorrectly, including the proper pronunciation of the town of Salem, that it was very off-putting and distracted from the great story. Even though she appeared to have an American accent, she pronounced commonly used words so incorrectly that I was wondering if English was her second language. Still, the story arc was so well written that I chose to give five stars for the overall score and the story.

order and narrators 2 and 3 are bad.

stories are cute but like others said story trilogy 2 should go first. you know the spoilers to books 4,5,6 because they are all talked about in 1,2 and 3. if mispronounced words are a pet peeve for you like they are for me then don't listen. it will drive you nuts.

Oof! Needs better narrators.

Changing up narrators, cool, but from American to British, when the characters are American? No thanks. That threw off the whole story for me. I made it a few of chapters into the second book of the second series and had to turn it off. The stories aren’t even worth trying to listen to when it’s the wrong narrator.

Narration of the third trilogy.

The number of times words were mispronounced was appalling. How can a director and editor allow words like “prodigal” to be pronounced stressing the second syllable? Or “crochet” to pronounce the T?
So distracting in an otherwise decent book.

Set in New England

Born and brought up in New England, it is always fun to have a good story set in familiar territory. And while the stories are pretty good overall, it is disconcerting to have certain words or phrases either regionally mispronounced or have products within the story that would probably not be found within the geographic area. For example: unlikely to find funnel cakes at a carnival in New England. Fried dough, yes. Also, crayons are pronounced Cray-on, not Crayne, or something sounding like that. For me, regional differences make a difference to a story, having the ability to distract from the narration itself.

loved it

I absolutely loved this series. I wish it didn't end! I felt a part of the summers family from yh4 beginning. Alexandria Clarke is your girl for witches, mystery, family strength and a little suspense. not enough to drive you crazy but just the right amount to keep you going and done. I will definitely be looking into her other books

fell in love

I enjoyed listening to these books. I could not wait to finish what ever I was doing. To get back to these stories. Wish there was more from the story line.
