Publisher's Summary

Every town has its secrets, but no one has a secret like hers.

Amber Blackwood, lifelong resident of Edgehill, Oregon, has earned a reputation for being a semi-reclusive odd duck. Her store The Quirky Whisker is full of curiosities, from extremely potent sleepy teas and ever-burning candles to kids' toys that seem to run endlessly without the aid of batteries.

The people of Edgehill think of the Quirky Whisker as an integral part of their feline-obsessed town, but most give Amber herself a wide berth. Amber prefers it that way; it keeps her secret safe. But that secret is thrown into jeopardy when Amber's friend Melanie is found dead, a vial of headache tonic from Amber's store clutched in her hand.

Edgehill's newest police chief has had it out for Amber since he arrived three years before. He can't possibly know she's a witch, but his suspicions about her odd store and even odder behavior have shot her to the top of his suspect list.

When the Edgehill rumor mill finds out Melanie was poisoned, it's not only the police chief who looks at Amber differently. Determined to both find justice for her friend and to clear her own name, Amber must use her unique gifts to help track down Melanie's real killer. A quest that threatens much more than her secret.

This box set includes the first three books in the Witch of Edgehill paranormal cozy mystery series:

Nice witch cozy mysteries

I enjoyed all three books; they were interesting and kept me engaged. Narration...I can't put my finger on it, but it felt a little stilted, not to an off-putting degree, but I was generally always aware of it. Perhaps the story line wasn't riveting enough? I don't want this to come across as a negative review. I'm just trying to figure out what it was that made this less than great. I intend to buy the 4th book.

Fun and engrossing

These are wonderful, solid little mystery stories; well written, and wonderfully performed, with some laugh out loud moments and loveable characters. I've read the 1st three so far, and I'm hooked. I think any lover of light mysteries, with a paranormal twist, will enjoy these as much as I have.

A light hearted magical mystery set.

There has to be light with dark but in the case of Amber, positivity shines brightest. If you are looking for detailed drama this book isn’t for you. If you are looking for thoughtful gentle adventure full of happy, joyful moments, you’ve found your series.

Light and entertaining series!

Very cozy and entertaining series - and the box set is a great deal. Fun for autumn/Halloween listening 🎃 The narrator is great and there are some very funny moments. The characters are likable and well developed. The cat theme is charming. I found myself drawn in and enjoying the story quickly. Trigger Warning Info: Nothing that I found explicit or very disturbing - there are some brief references to ‘child predators’ in the third book, and a story line that includes domestic violence, but the author does not go into detail, so it’s easy to move past it.

Well done!

Good storyline for this series books 1 thru 3. Keeps the listener interested and well entertained. You do need to start with book 1 since the characters continue to develop with each book. Narrator does a good job handling the different voices for each character and is right on tune to expressing each person’s emotions. Author brought a bit of romance, action, mystery and suspense to this series to keep the listener engaged. You won’t want to put it down. Would like to have more books to this series.

Finally!!

A book about a witch who actually uses her magic. So many books are of boring witches who are acted to use their magic or suck at it or even are scared of it. This is not that. Amber actually embraces being a born witch. So much better than most books I’ve read. The stories and plots are very well written and keeps you invested. Highly recommend!!

Horrible narration

The stories were fine. Lite, cozy, witchy stuff. So, I was not expecting great narration, but this one was really, really stiff. She did get a bit better over time but …….
