It’s cheesy

I usually like Angela Pepper books, but this one is super cheesy. To the point it’s hard to get through.

Teen angst

I have loved every one of Angela peppers books. I thought this would be a great next read while waiting for the next wisteria book come out.
The first story. Started out great! Then turned in to drugs and sex that hit you hard and fast. It had potential to be a great story, long-term. However, just as it seemed to start into a story line it ended. The short story was all about a sex driven college student that needed to get her fix. One that happened the story was over.
The next book I couldn’t get through. Angela has been a great job at picking out her narrators. This book I couldn’t even finish. It’s about a teen that has a magical power that starts out in their bellybutton to see the future. The narrator is an older gentleman that just sounded pervy narrated in the story.
So, I stopped listening to the books. it just seem to be a bad line for me.
So book one was a “tap that” and leading into the second book just felt inappropriate. Do not get me wrong. The narrator for the second book has a wonderful narration. I just think that the age of bracket of character should’ve been someone younger or a younger voice needed to be used.
An older man’s voice acting like a teen while letting girls putting their fingers in his bellybutton just seemed unsettling. I couldn’t clear that image.

Sorry Angela I still love your other books. I just couldn’t get past the icky feeling.
