Publisher's Summary

Powerful, immortal, magical, and cursed to the shadows of the night. Gordon O'Caha, a 700-year-old druid sorcerer, fell in battle centuries ago. When he recovered, he found he wasn't as he'd once been: purely magik. He was much, much more. Now he shares his body with darkness, a demon gifted to him by the blood drinkers he'd been attacked by. His family and clan haven't turned their back on him. It's Gordon who has shut himself away from them. This hardened man does what he has to in order to survive: he drinks blood, feeds his sexual lust, and exists, nothing more. That is until a sassy slip of a woman careens into him on the street, spilling her hot coco all over his groin. It's literally hotter than he can handle. The minx isn't what she appears to be and, when her secrets are revealed, so is a dangerous plot.

Chelsy Riley is doing her best to get by. Her grandmother's passing left her without family and with a tiny used bookstore to run. She thinks it's as hectic as it can get. When she slams into a sexy, gruff man who seems oddly out of time and place, she learns what secrets her past holds and that her future is full of endless possibilities. That is, only if she doesn't become a sacrifice for dark mages.

Very Short ....

Listening to this actually made it longer. Not fleshed out much beyond the blurb. "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

ENJOYED IT - BUT TOO SHORT!

What did you love best about Winter Solstice?

I love the concept of a druid/vampire and a powerful druid witch who has no idea who or what she is!

What other book might you compare Winter Solstice to and why?

This book for me was out on it's own, I wouldn't compare it to any other

What does Mason Lloyd bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have listened to 4 books now told by Mason Lloyd and I really enjoy listening to him. He has an excellent style and can do both male a female equally well

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes most certainly and because of it's length I could.

Any additional comments?

I loved it my only thought is that I wish it could have been longer I would love to hear more about Gordon. To be totally truthful I wish it had been longer, I felt that the ending was a little rushed.

Wonderful

An amazing story about Gordon the sorcerer. He's really old, but never knew what powers he held until now. A pleasure to listen to

Winter solstice

I loved the book. I didn't realize it was book 3 until he had started to read & since I didn't have anything else downloaded I decided to listen anyway. I only have 1 complaint...TOO SHORT!! I love the brogue! Can't wait to be able to afford the rest of the books!!

Chelsy & Gordon

Any additional comments?

Chelsy's grandmother passed and left her without family. She also does not realize the magical connections she has. She runs into Gordon just before darkness comes for her. A short read that leaves you wanting more.

worst ending ever

This series has been decent but short. I do plan on getting more if the are any. However this one left my annoyed at the end. It seems as the story was just ended harsh and not very creative. Like slicing your hand in the air and saying that's good enough cause your are bored.

Great story

Wish books in this series were longer. I am left thinking "that was the climax and it was resolved that quickly?" Otherwise wonderful stories

Short but great when you don't have a lot of time

A Vampire Druid 700 years old and hot. Okay, how does a tiny woman fight against that combination? Answer: she doesn't at least not for long. This is a very short novella with wonderful characters from the family O'Caha the first two stories in the series.

Having been turning while helping his cousins fight a battle, Gordon fights his dark side staying away from the light not only because of his affliction. When Chelsy runs into him spilling her hot drink his is mesmerized. Want he hasn't felt in many years is there. She has the same desires, but they are interrupted by the dark side. Gordon has to protect her, but in being near her can they fight the desperate attraction.

Can Gordon protect her and keep from his family? Read this short really good read to find the answers. While other reviewers have said it is short all agree it's a great tale.
