Publisher's Summary

Genetically altered into a super soldier who can shift into a wolf, Casey Black should have been the perfect asset - but that wasn't to be. The scientists who conducted DNA splicing experiments on him put a little too much wolf in his cocktail. Considered a danger to society and a risk to the survival of the secret project, the government tried to eliminate him. The former Immortal Operative has spent the majority of his life on the run and off the grid from the very government who'd helped him be "all he could be". When the sassy, headstrong woman who makes his body burn with need vanishes, he realizes it's not his head, but rather his heart that is broken. And he'll do whatever is called for to mend it.

Haunting but good

This is the first of the Immortal Outcast books and it starts right off with Harmony being held captive. Casey is out of his mind wanting to find his mate. Well he knew who she was to him but just wouldn't get off his tail end and do anything about it because she deserves better. I want to beat all of these alpha males. There is humor in it, as all in the I-Ops world, but also serious, then heated. I love the journey to the HEA with these two as is was 4 years in the making.
It is a short listen at just under 2 hours so it can easily be finished in a day. The narration was perfect with this one and Mason Lloyd did an outstanding job.

Love the Immortal Outcasts

I loved this book and the Immortal Series. Mandy delivered another amazing story. I loved reading about Harmony and Casey who you meet in Act of Surrender. She starts the book by Casey looking for Harmony and Harmony being captured. It pulls you and and doesn't let you go. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I love the Immortal Ops, PSI-Ops and now the Immortal Outcasts.

Great first book in the Series!

This is the first book in the Immortal Outcasts Series. I love Mandy M Roth's writing! This short story is fast-paced, action packed, fun, and steamy. I like Casey and Harmony's story. Casey is a former Immortal Operative soldier, genetically altered into a super soldier wolf shape shifter. Harmony, his mate, is also a great character. I love their HEA. Mason Lloyd did an amazing job with the narration, as always. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series!

action to steamy

If a world where there are people with animal instincts and the government after them is your jam, then this is for you! This book goes from an intense journey to down right hot and steamy in a fun and interesting way. It might be a short book but there is a lot of punch in this book. I would say worth the time. looking forward to what happens next.

Love this Immortal World! 4.5 Fascinating🌟Stars🌟

This is my 1st Immortal Ops Universe book, I am newly to Mandy M. Roth’s work and now I know what I have been missing. She has created an imaginative universe filled with equally imaginative supernatural species. “Broken Communication” is a spin off of her other series and while I have not read them yet I was able to enjoy the book as a stand alone. The history of the characters are explained, as is the dynamics of the story that brought them to their current situation. This is Casey and Harmony’s story, the storylines are interesting and action packed. I am looking forward to continuing on with this series and the other “Immortal Ops” series and learning more about the ‘Immortal’ cast of characters and their paranormal gifts.

I listened to the Audible edition, Mason Lloyd is a fabulous narrator & storyteller. He performs all the voices and brings the characters to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for the great listen.

Super wolf with a heart

I am reviewing this audible book for Audiobook Addiction.
This was my first experience with this author and The Immortal Outcasts and I hope it’s not my last.
I found Casey Black to be endearing. Even though he is a genetically altered super soldier his biggest concern was to find the woman he thought to be his mate. Then once found he was afraid of hurting her by shifting. My favorite part is of course the HEA.
I also enjoyed the narration by Mason Lloyd

Broken Communication

This book was a super quick listen and a good start to a new series. This is a somewhat different look to the paranormal with the experiments that were used on these people to create what they were or to enhance what they already are. I look forward to listening to more about this in the next book.

Very nice short listening

This is book one in the spin off series and is a wonderful start. Kasey is a broken alpha looking for his princess. The narrator does a wonderful job of making the characters come to life. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great short story

Here we find Casey trying his darnest to find Harmony, his mate, after her disappearance. We'll written short story which ties into James and Lainey's story perfectly. Casey is broken until he manages to get Harmony back and she completes him. I love all the Immortal Ops world books.

Good story but the same storyline as the others.

As the mentioned earlier its a good story but the story line is the same as thevrest of the books. Could do with a little change around a few twists.

Broken Communication

When I first read this book I loved it but to hear it is even better and adds to the excitement of the story it's even better if you can read and listen at the same time well-done

Narrator does a good job.

Narrator does a good job and I enjoyed listening to this book but it suddenly ended. Not used to such short audible books BOOK REVIEW Way too short and a new spin off series. You really, really, cannot enjoy or totally understand this without knowing the immortal ops series. Too short and really not enough story or romance between Casey and Harmony. Though both have been in previous books, this is supposed to be their story and it is lacking. Casey acknowledges Harmony is his mate after she has been taken. Loved having Gus and Bill participate and the ending was fun. I can understand wanting a soak in a bath after being held prisoner for a week, but surely a shower to get the worst of the grunge off would be better. I cringe at the thought of sitting in the dirt of that bath water. Read this book years ago and rereading in the I-Ops Universe reading order.
