good for rookies

not bad very educational and enjoyable. I'm already a wine maker and didn't learn anything too new but it's a great book if you've been thinking about making wine.

Listened to it twice!

for the TOTAL novice with no experience at all it is pretty informative! learned a lot of cool facts and I appreciate the simplicity. definitely a great listen for someone completely new to the industry.

too simplified for me

I am a novice but would still would like to understand the processes . the outline is clear but there is no mention of the why's.

Very Unfocused

I tuned out by the time it got to the wine making part because it was so poorly written.

Mostly not about wine making

The book spends more time talking about wine tasting than it does about wine making. Then it gives only a perfunctory walk through of the wine making process itself. I know this book is for novices, but it fails to progress past that — there is little reason more time couldn’t be spent giving depth beyond what is here. For example, they don’t even talk about making white wines.

i am a home winemaker so i was hoping some a fair amount of detail. this was not the case:simplistic. I suppose if you ere making wine from welch's it might be helpful.
