Publisher's summary

Kensington Worth had a vision for her senior year. It involved her best friends, her posh private school in downtown Chicago, time alone with her piano until her audition was perfected, and a guaranteed ticket into the best music programs in the world.

Instead, a nightmare took over.

It didn't happen all at once, but her life unraveled quickly - a tiny thread that evil somehow kept pulling until everything precious was taken from her. She was suddenly living miles away from her old life, trapped in an existence she didn't choose - one determined to destroy her from the inside, leaving only hate and anger behind. It didn't help that her neighbor, the one whose eyes held danger, was enjoying every second of her fall.

Owen Harper was trouble; his heart wild, and his past was the kind that's spoken about in whispers. And somehow, his path was always intertwined with Kensington's, every interaction crushing her, ruining her hope for any future better than her now. Sometimes, though, what everyone warns is trouble, is exactly what the heart needs.

Owen Harper was consumed with darkness, and it held onto his soul for years. When Kensington looked at him, she saw a boy who'd gotten good at taking others down when they threatened his carefully balanced life. But the more she looked, the more she saw other things, too - good things...things to admire. Things...to love. Things that made her want to be reckless. And those things...they were the scariest of all.

Everything!!!!!

This is my first Tillie Cole read, but it will not be my last! What a phenomenal book! The characters are well developed and you fall deeply in love with them. I couldn't help but hurt when they hurt, and smile when they smiled. I wish I could read Wild Reckless again and it all be new. It was filled with everything I look for in a good book and so much more. I

Heartwarming!

Loved this read! I love stories that actually tell a story and its not all about sex. It was a sweet and sexy book!

Compelling story very well read

I've got to admit, I missed the convention that Ginger Scott has set up in some of her other novels, where she bounces back-and-forth between the male and female voices. But I only missed that because there were times I really wondered what Owen was thinking. This reader never failed me, however, as she took me through the wild ride of this relationship, keeping all the voices (young, older, and senior) distinctive and easy to follow. Laura Darrell made this wonderful book a lovely listen.

Cute and different enough

Worth while, but not the best love story. Still gives hope in young love and passion

Cute, coming of age love story

I bought this listen on a whim. This is definitely directed at the YA audience and its stellar in that regard. The story of Kensington and Owen dealing with very real, very difficult issues with maturity and levity. This listen was enjoyable even if it was a little "young" for my doddering 53 years of age! I used a credit, but I would recommend awaiting a sale.

not ( optional)

At first I wasn't sure about the narrator but she turned out to be perfect. I was a great story. I couldn't stop listening.

Giving support

I enjoyed the story. It shows support among friends. This story would be great for a young person needing to understand support and friendship.

A Little Smuty

I thought this was a little smuty for a such young characters and too much swearing. It had a good story though so I still give it a good rating. And great narrator!

A bit too corny

This was a an entertaining book.
Good narrator. At some points though I Had to roll my eyes at the over the top mushiness. Not into that, but luckily it doesn't over take the book
