what a rubbish

this is ok book. not worth the money since there are no any new or interesting information in it. I didnt check who is the author before I bought this book. Google haven't shown any results. who is Katherine Taylor and why should we listen to her and trust her advice ? All things in this book are common sence you will learn / read / hear all of it first week after you know your are pregnant. From your mom / sister / friends / google / your doctor. The person reading the book is very monotonous and kind of hard to listen too , but why not since I already paid for it ? I couldn't listen anymore after part about maternity clothing ... was this book written in the 80's or something ? " oversized coats and jackets look great " - said no one ever. What author is sayin about buying maternity clothing doesn't make any sence. She says : don't buy it because you will never wear it again . next sentence : buy oversized jackets... like I will be wearing oversized jackets after because oversized stuff looks so great. Give yourself a favour dont spend 10$ on this book and go buy maternity jeans , jackets at tops as soon as you feel uncomfortable in your clothes. do not use that rubbish of advice to put hair tie on your jeans. everysingle clothing brand nowadays has option for maternity clothing. I hope sales of this book helped author fund her maternity clothing expenses.

Great book

I listen to several books before I had my son and this was by far my favorite. I really wanted a natural childbirth and I credit my easy, beautiful labor in part to this book. I read the final chapters over and over again before giving birth and this gave me to confidence to go into my labor with excitement.

Wealth of information

This is a very extensively researched book loaded with a wealth of information. I wanted this book because of another person’s review of this having so much information that she had saved from magazines, websites, etc.

Going the natural childbirth route?

f so, this book it great! I'm not even half way through and I've learned so much information that I have not got from other "baby books". Even if you are not planning to go natural, this book may change your mind. The drugs they use to induce labor are not good for you or your baby and have a domino effect. The reasonings in the book are backed up, it's not just someone's opinion.

FIVE stars

This book is huge. Definitely covers more than any other week to week guide, like preconception and postpartum. Plus it's the only natural guide available - contains so much valuable health info. Love it.

Useful but there are better books out there

A good potted digest of various pregnancy tips for first timers. Though I felt the pregnancy for men book I recently listened to would actually be more thorough and useful for women too than this (albeit with a few male centric jokes). My opinion may also be coloured by this being a US book read by a man (which seemed slightly at odds with the 1st person narration being in the feminine).

This book is really fun.

This book is really fun. I already knew a lot of this information but it is making pregnancy more exciting. Would be a really good book if you're newer to natural pregnancy and childbirth ideas and want to learn more in an easy to understand way.

Very informative.

There is nothing else out there quite like this book. It's a totally comprehensive and easy to digest guide to natural childbirth. It's not too hippy, not too preachy, and very informative.

This must have been read by a computer.

This must have been read by a computer. It was so monotone. Sounded like my worst college professor. And I responded like it. Kept having to wake myself up! Information is basic and not as insightful as others.CONTENT was little good.

Great for the first time mom because it gave you some things that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise.

Great guide to what you're not told

Being pregnant is one of the scariest and most amazing things in the world. I know it sounds crazy to be scary but amazing at the same time, but it truly is. There are so many books on the market that will tell you all the amazing things of being pregnant but none of the actual things that will happen - changes to your body, how your hormones will be affected, and what to expect after giving birth.
