Publisher's summary

"Superbly performed by Susan Ericksen, Vendetta in Death is mesmerizing to the very end, and a 'must' especially for connoisseurs of the genre.... Highly recommended." (Midwest Book Review)

The predator becomes the prey in J. D. Robb's Vendetta in Death, the newest thriller in the number one New York Times best-selling series featuring homicide detective Eve Dallas.

She calls herself Lady Justice. And once she has chosen a man as her target, she turns herself into a tall blonde or a curvaceous redhead, makes herself as alluring and seductive as possible to them. Once they are in her grasp, they are powerless.

The first victim is wealthy businessman Nigel McEnroy. His company’s human resources department has already paid out settlements to a couple of his young victims - but they don’t know that his crimes go far beyond workplace harassment. Lady Justice knows. And in one shocking night of brutality, she makes him pay a much steeper price.

Now, Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, are combing through the evidence of McEnroy’s secret life. His compulsive need to record his misdeeds provides them with a wide range of suspects, but the true identity of Lady Justice remains elusive. It’s a challenging case, made even more difficult by McEnroy’s widow, who reacts to the investigation with fury, denial, and threats. Meanwhile, Lady Justice’s criminal crusade is escalating rapidly, and if Eve can’t stop this vigilante, there’s no telling how much blood may be spilled....

Bringing Lady Justice to justice.

A solid entry in the series, but not her best mystery. The cast of characters are all here and great. Yes, I’ve already preordered #50 Golden in Death due out Feb04, 2020.
My favorite line is Dr. Mira’s “love sometimes comes with mozzarella”.
Ericksen, as always, does a great job of creating a large cast of characters that she brings to life. She is the voice of the series.

Great easy listen!

Another great story. Enjoy the series whether reading or listening. Listening is better hands free to do other things.

Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Just gets better and better

How can one ignore the gorilla in the room? Hysterical. Eve is so witty.
Absolutely love the series and this one is by far one of the best.
Susan IS the voice of these books/characters. Love you Susan! I love that always
Eve has “Eve’s voice as well at
Whitney, Peabody and everyone.
These characters feel like family as the book plays out in my mind much like a soap opera.
Nora keep these coming. They are the “Ult”.
Can’t wait for the next. Always worth a credit.
I would give more stars if I could.

Disappointed

It was a struggle to finish, kept thinking and hoping it would get better. The story was slow, you knew the killer way to early. There was no other story with any of the other Characters. I did like Peabody was able to have good moments and take the lead. This storyline could have been good if told with more action and other interactions. I feel she just added other characters in for form but no substance. I hope the next book is better.
