Great interweaving of the two timelines

I loved the suspense and the dark thrill. The way the past built up and became relevant in the future time was creative. I love the characters, the setting was fun on the east coast. Definitely would recommend.

Move Over Will Trent

Ms Slaughter must read fan reviews in earnest and then as usual does what she wants, hence coming up with another soul searching great story that makes you think on the social mores of our times. Yes, this is an entertaining story with her now signature of past then present outcomes. If you are a fan and have all of this author’s stories like l do, then expand your mind just a bit before you join a few reviewers who just don’t get this author. Heck she has given us so many clues in her recent epilogues on what she is striding for in her stories, so don’t be surprised at these latest books. Yes, she could give us more Will Trent, but she doesn’t want to go the way of Arthur Conan Doyle/Sherlock Holmes mysteries. I must admit Book 1 Pieces of Her, was not my favorite book but this story moves on and expands on a few of those characters. This surprise eg: how author started Will Trent, has been great. Of course Miss Earleys narration has reminded us of some of the characters that are in Will Trent without really being there eg: Head of the Marshall Services. So l can invasion ms Karin starting to develop a possible new series, if her fans just let her do her best writing.

Andrea is growing on me!

I did not like this character in her intro ‘Pieces of Her.’ Big fan of Karin Slaughter and was totally surprised ‘Pieces of Her’ was making it to TV. So many better stories. ‘ Girl, Forgotten’ is a better effort and Andrea has more promise than the goofy mouse initially introduced but she’s no Will Trent!

Amazing

Exciting quite until the end. It was Hard to stop listening. Keeps you wondering what’s gonna happen next.

Compelling story.

It took awhile to adjust to the narrator's brusque style, and to grasp the complexity of the story-jumps. But once in, it was a delight to unravel the 40-year old mystery along with the protagonist. Would definitely read a follow up book!
