Publisher's summary

Local metalsmith and gift-shop owner, Dahlia McGuire, likes her quiet life in Hartwell, Delaware. It's the perfect place to hide from her family and the tragic events that led to their estrangement. However, when her father, the person she loves most in the world, needs her, Dahlia has no choice but to return to Boston to face her ghosts. One of those happens to be her ex-boyfriend's best friend, Michael Sullivan. The man she was never supposed to fall in love with.

Michael Sullivan has never forgotten Dahlia McGuire. Some might say he's never gotten over her. For years he lived with the anger of her desertion, and now, newly-divorced, he's finally ready to move on. That proves impossible when Dahlia returns to Boston and reawakens their explosive connection. Despite everything, Michael wants her back, but Dahlia can't seem to let go of the tangled emotions of the past. When she flees home to Hartwell, Michael follows, determined to do everything in his power to convince her they belong together.

However, when the unthinkable hits the quiet seaside town, Michael finds himself trying to unravel more than the mystery of Dahlia's broken heart. It's time for truths left unsaid to finally be spoken or Michael and Dahlia might find themselves torn apart forever....

Voted Most Annoying American Accent

I have tried several times to listen to this book but I can't get past the nerve grating accent.

I'm a huge fan of the author so I will have to read this one in print.

Things We Never Said

The way the last book ended made you WANT this book so bad I am glad I waited to read them until this was almost out because I would have died with the wait.
Dahlia’s book is awesome the struggles and emotional damage she is going through you never would have guessed with the face she puts on for her customers and friends.

I enjoyed the back and forth and getting to know her before and after. The family element to this book really gave it those extra touches and I am so glad it humanized everyone just a little bit more.

I can’t wait for the bookshop keeper’s book……….

The narration was FANTASTIC! I loved it the Boston accents were as I would hope they would be if I heard them in real life. I have no idea if they were authentic I just know that I loved the narration!

Phenomenal

Michael ans Dhalia story is phenomenal. Their story is deep, meaningful and the best kind of complicated. I enjoyed how dahlias story was told and mixed in with the other favorite characters. Michael and dahlia’s story is heart wrenching steamy and sweet. Can’t wait for the next book Samantha

Narration was great

This book had the HEA I look for, but the journey was a lot of back and forth. Communication was missing, leading to failed relationship and sadly many wasted years.

Great book but wicked awful Boston accents.

I really enjoyed the story. It had some redundancies, parts being told many times, but not to the point that it took away from the story. The only negative part of the book was the narrators wicked awful Boston accent. If you can't make it sound authentic, don't do it.

A big disappointment

The story was hard to follow at times, way too much swearing/taking the Lord’s name in vain, and overall left me feeling like it was a huge waste of time. I did not care for the narrator’s voices and “Boston” accents either. It was very distracting because of how forced and inconsistent they were. Down London Rd was has been one of my favorite books so far, so I perhaps I had higher expectations than I should have for this one.
