Story
Becca McKenzie is happy - crazy, ridiculously happy. She might not have figured out what she wants to do with her life, but she has something better - Ryan Jackson - and they couldn't be more in love if they tried. He might have been pissed when she went off to a different college, but they make the long distance work because they're "Becca and Ryan", and nothing is going to break them. Until it does. Until one terrible, unforgettable night away from Ryan. Until too much drinking and one empty bedroom.

Cameron Bates (Cam) could have almost any girl at Franklin High School...except for the one he wants. Unfortunately Bebe seems to be immune to his flirty charm and good looks, which means one of two things: a) she's completely oblivious to how he feels, or b) she's just not into him. If that's the case, declaring his love would be disastrous for their friendship. Bianca Barnes (Bebe) has a huge problem: the universe hates her. Every time she admits feelings for a boy, he ends up falling for her sweet, popular, and beautiful sister Beth.

Publisher's Summary
Becca McKenzie is just trying to make it through her senior year of high school. She has good friends and a gorgeous boyfriend, but Ryan Jackson, the bane of her existence, keeps popping up everywhere.
She doesn't care that they were best friends for years. She doesn't care that their moms are close, and therefore, she hears more about him that she'd ever care to know. She doesn't care that their mutual friend, Jake, keeps pushing them all to hang out together, and she especially doesn't care that the rest of the school bows down and worships him.
Becca decided years ago that he wasn't worth her time, and nothing, nothing, is going to change her mind.
Contains mature themes.

My Favorite book
I love everything about this book. I have listened to over 40 books on audible and this one tops them all. (I've listened to it at least 5 times and I NEVER re-read books. It was the cutest story and I'm always looking for more books like this. I did not like the second book because it was just to sad and serious. This book was amazing though.

I did not like main character!!
So I started this book and was hooked with the initial story line. But the main character became so unlikable. She was hostile, angry, stupid, annoying, and I could not root for her. I loved Ryan's character and kept hoping he would move on to a nice girl who actually liked him. I couldn't stand Rebecca. Disappointed!

Too adult
I trust young adult books to be clean to some degree. I was disappointed in this book—teens having sex is stupid behavior. This book was an adult book with teenage characters. It’s in poor taste. IMHO.

omg someone slap the main character
I never review books so you know something have to had bother me. story was good but the whole the main character was oblivious to everything going on around her thing was drawn out way too long. That could have been cut in half and added more story into the relationship between Becca and Ryan. There was almost none romantic build up on Becca's side. It's like, she only likes Ryan because Ryan likes her. not bad but it could have been better

Couldn’t wait for it to end...
This book would make a great drinking game.
Whenever the term “rolled my/his/her eyes” is said, take a drink!
I found this book shallow. The main character was unlikeable. She was moody and dramatic. She complained about being humiliated and gossiped about by the “high school popular kids” CONSTANTLY, when all I saw was them was trying to include her in invitations to parties, etc.
I wonder if the author read through her book entirely before publishing. Maybe she would have noticed how off putting the main character was.
Not reading part 2 of this series.

New favorite alert!!
If you’re a sucker for a coming of age love story...this is just perfect. I LOVE Ryan’s personality and heart. Becca is a spoiled brat but you still want to root for her and, after reading the second book in the series, I love her as much as him. She had to go through a lot to grow up emotionally. I like a story about growing in character and love. This is a good one- worth the credit for sure!

I m sorry - but no!!
I have read and listen to a thousand books. Some of them were not that great, but I finished them anyways, and some I quit. But, I have never encountered the book like this. The narrator is not good! I m sorry, she is probably a lovely person, but this is not a job for her. Add to that a very poorly written book and you get yourself a catastrophe. I m not sure how did this book get published like this, it almost feel like it has not been edited at all. Unfortunately, not even an excellent narrator would be able to make this a book that you can listen in passing and think is ok! I m really sorry! I just think that honest feedback will be appreciated and will encourage improvement! Please don’t quit writing - just work on your story line and character development!

Oh hell no!!
Ok, I’m just a little confused?? I read a lot of the reviews and I’m wondering why everyone is hating on Becca? When Ryan was just as bad!! I had a hard time finishing this book and will not be continuing on to book 2.
That being said.. let’s start with how both MC acted more like two 12 year olds instead of 18. They both were so immature that I lost count how many times I had to roll my eyes.. Becca was a complete doormat! Never sticking up for herself, but had know problem shaming other people for being pathetic when she was the one in fact that was PATHETIC! One word “Charlie” let alone letting everyone walk all over her...I was so frustrated with this book... I was waiting for Becca to grow a backbone and tell people off! Nope! It never happened.. funny how she had know problem being a smart ass/bitch when Ryan and her were alone talking, but seem to be tongue tied and a doormat ever time Ryan confronted her in front of everyone in school. Ryan was such a asshat most of the book and I wanted to throat punch him every time he said he didn’t want to hurt her but did ever chance he got....I mean seriously how many times are you going to humiliate her in front of everyone! That right there people is why Becca acted the way she did in this book. I wouldn’t trust Ryan either and I would more then likely acted like a bitch to him and his friends too!
Jake annoyed me throughout the book.. always thinking Ryan’s was the nice guy and thinking Ryan did no wrong....going as far as telling Becca how she was wrong for letting Ryan/everyone think her and Charlie were going to have sex, but it was ok for Ryan to kiss and flaunt girls around Becca all the time. Really??? again Becca said nothing.. not even mentioning this to Jake...
Jessica just needed to be smacked and put in her place for always blaming/thinking Becca wanted Ryan when in fact Ryan was the one pining/loved Becca. Oh and don’t get me started on how Becca was clueless and naïve not knowing Ryan liked her...Good lord!
I’m actually amazed that I finished the book! It was hard but I push through it.
Sorry, but this was my first and will be my last book from this Author..
Also this Book needs to be rated teen not YA. There was absolutely no sex in this book.
Audiobook:
This was my first time listening to Amy Melissa Bentley and Alex Kydd and they both did a great job! Alex Kydd has one sexy voice! I would definitely listen to them both again.
