Adoption, family, live, loss
Like the Steel Magnolias movie references in the book, this is a tale of family that will make you laugh and cry. It is a road trip through Texas as a retirement trip for 2 old sassy ladies, a getting to know each other for an adoptee and her birth family, a punishment for a 16 year old, and a chance to fall in love for the only man on the trip. Read it for all the feels. The narrator does a great job.

Another unique story line
I don't know how Carolyn does it but this is another unique story line. Who ever heard of a road trip around Texas? And with biological relatives you never met. One thing you can count on is strong, quirky women.

Blown away...
It sounded like a good story so I purchased it....i think on the daily sale. OMG.....i was not expecting it to be such a great heartwrenching story. It deserves more than 5 stars. I rarely give reviews but I had to on this one.....I loved it!!!! Warning......Much tissue needed

I cried real tears
I'm not entirely certain that I would have reacted the same way to this book had I read it instead of listen to it. I did enjoy it a mansley. Great story great plot line great detail and it's kind of how I would like to leave this Earth.
