Publisher's summary

I want vengeance so badly that I can almost taste it. It's all I've ever wanted. So, I did what anyone in my unique position would do. I slapped on a secret identity and became an internationally renowned thief, known as The Fox. Nobody knows me. Nobody can catch me.

Or so I thought.... It turns out: I have what they want. Special abilities. And trust me, these abilities are coveted - and dangerous. Now, I don't know who to trust or where to go. Peril lurks on every corner as I try to uncover my past and origin. Teaming up with unlikely allies may be my only chance at survival or my biggest mistake. Only time will tell. I'm Kit Davenport and this is only the beginning.

Warning: This book is a reverse harem. It also contains violence, sex, bad language, and content which some readers may find triggering.

"One of my favourite reads this year!" (Jaymin Eve, USA Today best-selling author)

"This is the reverse harem book you've been waiting for...." (Rebecca Royce, best-selling author of The Westervelt Wolves)

"Sly like a fox, Tate James lures you into this Reverse Harem thriller full of twists, turns, and tempting men!" (A&E Kirk, best-selling author of The Divinicus Nex Chronicles)

love two narrators sharing chapters

I LOVE that they have the male narrator reading the male parts alongside the female narrator reading the female parts. this is SO much better that having the girl read the male parts during "her" chapter and the guy reading the girl parts during "his" chapter. I'm sure this is more difficult for the narrators and probably more expensive to produce, but it is SOOO WORTH IT!!!! If we could tell this was done before buying, I'd never listen to anything else.
BTW, the book is fantastic, too. This series has become one of my top 3 favorites.

What The Vixen!

Such an awesome book! Kit is a badass FMC with a crappy past. Kit and her best friend Lucy go to a really fancy academy high school. This is their senior year. They aren't you average teen girls. Kit has become one of the most famous robbers and Lucy is her tech behind the scenes. Kit and Lucy finally get caught by the omega force, which are the only good guys that were trying to catch the Fox. Now Kit has found herself surrounded by five hot guys that work for omega. Kit has been searching for information about where she comes from. She finds out that she might not be human. Wonder where Kit and the guys will end up next?

First Audiobook & I really enjoyed it

This was the first audiobook I had listened to. I had tried a couple others and when I learned this audio was a duet narration - I was sucked it. It’s so good. I also love the book itself as well. I have read several of Tate James book in the Shadowgrove world. I love the characters she writes. I can’t wait to finish the rest of the Kit Davenport series!

Great Introduction into this PNR world

I was very excited to see that Tate had written a PNR RH, as she is one of my top authors. She doesn't disappoint. I love the idea of secret magic. I love Kit as a FMC and I loved the twist when of who her adopted "father" is and their deal together. That scene and how she freaks Caleb and the guys out during the big reveal; that scene lives rent free in my head. I can't wait to find out more about exactly what Kit is.

I thought the narrators did a great job. The transitions in this duet were seamless. I don't necessarily know how accurate the British accent is for River's character, but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway. I did think both narrators could have done a better job at portraying other emotions like sarcasm or fear/yelling; I thought those parts were a little flat at times, but otherwise I think they did a great job.

Be still my heart!

One would think that five men would be to much even for the imagination, but this book makes you fall in love right off the bat! Kits humor and way of handling things is very similar to my own reactions. I love that it’s much easier to invest and absorb yourself into a book when you relate so much to the main character. If I only had the “extra” skills but if given the choice between the powers or her men...I’m going to have to go with the men! I love each and every one in this book! The ride was funny, sultry, action filled and quite a ride! Can’t wait to start the next book!

good start

This is my first book by this author but definitely not my last. Main character is quite funny. Team dynamic is interesting and can't wait to see how it further develops. I didn't even know this was a RH until about half way through when I started suspecting it and then looked it up.

Good female narration. Male narrator sounds like an actual robot sometimes and then OK other times. Not bad enough to distract from the story.

OMG yes yes

a few things that I really love about this book the main is course the story and the characters I am a bit sad how slow and how impulsive kit can be I hope as The Story Goes On she becomes more and more think before I leap kind of person cuz that seems to be her main problem she leaves then she thinks who wait a minute that wasn't a good idea my second and this is like a major thing that I am so happy about this book is the way did the narration the narrator's which is a female and a male the female does most of course the story like the narration and of course kit but during the parts where the male characters or by themselves or when they're speaking they have the male narrator speaking so they're both working side-by-side during this entire book and I have always wanted someone to do that and I am giving two thumbs up for someone to finally do that because that was actually one of my you have to they don't work side-by-side so the voices are different when the female character does the male voice so thank you thank you I love this book can't wait to listen to the next one

Not what I expected in a good way

I sat on this series for years first because I was afraid it would be more teen YA and second because I wanted to make sure the series was complete before I started in. Pleasantly this first book isn’t YA at all. There are already steamy scenes and the sexual tension is rising with the others. My favorite thing about this book so far is how well developed each character is. Each guy on the team is unique. I also like the mystery of who Kit is. They seem like they are at the beginning of one really interesting adventure.

A little underwhelming

This book followed the standard outline for an initial book in a reverse harem series, including 5 guys: the stuffy leader, the oversized macho man, the flirt, the nerd, and the one who pretends he isnt interested. It's also action packed with hints of supernatural that aren't thoroughly addressed until the very end. Unfortunately the portions of the story that were supposed to be the climax were .. well .. a little anticlimactic. I would have liked to see them better worked out.

The relationships were a little forced and rushed, the action scenes fell a bit flat, and the end didn't really leave me wanting to continue on. I have heard really great things about this series so I'll be continuing, I hope it works itself out in the upcoming book.

Side note: the female narrator was good but overacted a little bit. Overall I enjoyed her performance. The male narrator wasn't my favorite, not differentiating between characters very well which is interesting since the author built in accents that should have helped him out.
