Publisher's summary

A dark romance unlike anything you've heard before.

I joined the cloister to find the truth. But I've discovered so much more, and the darkness here is seducing me, pulling me down until all I can think of is him. Adam Monroe, the prophet's son, a dark prince to an empire that grows by the day. He is tasked with keeping me safe from the wolves of the outside world. But the longer I stay at the cloister, the more I realize the wolves are already inside and under the prophet's control.

If Adam discovers the real reason I'm here, he'll bay for my blood with the rest of them. Until then, I will be Delilah, an obedient servant of the prophet during the day and Adam's maiden at night.

Great Dark Ride - 4.5 ⭐️

A new-to-me author, I am so glad I took a chance on this trilogy. I love Delilah and her spirit; Adam frustrated me a time or two - but in a GOOD way. An I'm-invested-in-these-characters frustration instead of just being annoyed by their actions.

Narration was fantastic. Teddy Hamilton is my #1 narrator, and even though Muffy Newtown annoys me a little by the way she elongates her words, she still does a great job. If you're into dark romance and have very few triggers, I highly recommend.

ok, dnf

I only got about 3/4 thru the book. good narrators, story flows, lots of sex stuff but completely not sexy. There is actually more described violence than described sex.
This is supposed to be a religious cult training girls for the sex trade. Premise was ok, but the methods used to train the girls didn't make any sense to me. Without going into detail, I didn't feel that the training would have accomplished the goal. Also, I felt they should be pushing more religion on the girls and except for telling them to go to their rooms and pray, there was almost no religion at all. I just lost interest after a while.

My heart is still racing!

I devoured this book, it completely pulled me in. I want to know what happened to Gerorgia. I want to know more about Adam. Most importantly I want Delilah to survive. Narration was amazing and both were perfect for the characters.

FIFTY SHADES OF INTENSLY DARK & DELICIOUS

Firstly, if you don’t feel the lure and pull of a dark romance then stop right now because this book DEFINITELY won’t be for you.. as this listen is all kinds of twisted.. all kinds of dark.. all kinds of depraved.. and, all kinds of f’d up. But, if you too seek the heart-beating rush, the pulse-pounding tension and the emotional thrill-ride of not knowing what harrowing scenes will be next to shock and shake you.. then my fellow listeners read on. Because this has ALL those feels and so so much more as Delilah witnesses firsthand, along with the other naive virgins in her group, exactly what being a Maiden in the Cloisters cult is all about. At its head is a wickedly sinful Prophet with richeous self-serving false preachings along with the many levels of his mean and varied band of disciples. It’s Hell, it’s torture, it’s brainwashing, it’s a violent reprogramming, it’s a stripping of dignity and it’s mental and physical abuse at the highest level as their ‘Protectors’ listen and obey the word of the psychotic and very dangerous Prophet.

There’s abuse, starvation, brainwashing, sexual training, bdsm and sub-Dom attitudes, cruelty, rules and absolutely no remorse as these once innocent women are slowly being bent and broken into submission. However, in Delilah’s case, her dark Protector is Adam the Prophet’s handsome son who has already suffered and been damaged.. yet he won’t take what’s not offered.. instead he teases.. and tempts.. and dirty talks.. and alpha’s his possessive ways into Delilah’s psyche. The chemistry and pull is there.. but so are the cameras, guards, rules, expectations and enemies round every corner.

Worth a credit? This dual POV complex, harrowing and gripping story is brilliantly written as the heroine, who’s been renamed Delilah, starts her quest to seek the truth as to what led to her beloved sister’s death.. but she could never have imagined what horrors would follow.. or the heartbreaking story awaiting her discovery. And, I think far worse will be in her future.. dark days lie ahead for Delilah.. and more unholy acts will be demanded and performed in the name of a false religion. Thankfully, all three suspenseful and thrilling parts to this twisted dark trilogy are available now.. so try stopping me from purchasing the next slice of this brilliantly narrated rollercoaster ride into the world of a sick cult, it’s sick practices, its sick leaders and its sick followers.. bring it on I can’t wait.

Good Story!!!

I have mixed feelings about this story. I love a dark book but not sure how I feel about some of the things that happened in this book all in the name of the Prophet.

Great narrators

A lot of violence toward the women but otherwise good read. Narrators are great but the book is drawn out

Connection between FMC and MC makes it worth it

Worth a credit. The violence from women on women is the worst part, even though rape is insinuated (not on FMC). Hot descriptive scenes. Cliffhanger but I did not mind it. The narration was good and appropriate. Overall good book, I will be listening to the next one in the series.
