It was good...

...but by the 3/4 way through I wanted it to end.

I can’t explain why. They were dealing with deep scars. The characters were well developed. The story wasn’t really slow to develop. I like dark romance. So I really can’t explain the reason for my being ready for it to be over.

Yes, I suppose it could hit triggers for people but it is fiction. Nothing without consent even when they pretend no consent.

The story was good, and I did love the narrators although I didn’t know them based on their name. The English accents were perfect for the story. They definitely gave the story more depth.

Not my cup of tea

I actually liked the plot around the two main characters and the Plot B drama with MMC's brother. That kept it interesting so it wasn't boring. The smut was not anywhere near my cup of tea so I mostly fast forwarded through that.

Scary and Interesting

This story of pain is not for the faint of heart. I’ve never read anything like it. Hard for me to picture the pleasure that derived from the piercings depicted in this text.

Still: I enjoyed the catharsis from trauma. Stronger in the broken places, as Hemingway asserted.

DNF: ITS A NO FOR ME DOGG

I am not a prude nor do i have sensitive ears. but there is no reason for the ampunt of Fbombs in this book. it sounds like a middle schooler who just learned to cuss. the male narration is fine the female is UNBEARABLE! didnt make it far.

needed a different female narrator

Posey Clifford is a good narrator but too soft spoken for this kind of book.
I don't believe the male character would have fallen in love so fast. He was supposed to be a monster and instead he didn't even bat an eye when love was mentioned.
