Very Tolkien classic adventure

This book felt like i was reading a lost manuscript for Terry Goodkind's The Sword of Truth series spiced up with a bit of Tolkein's The Hobbit with the defined lands and classic elder figure there for guidance and protection from the far too dangerous.

That is right up until about the last half of the book where the lore started feeling a bit more for this series. I was interested in the plight of the people, the wars and histories, the abilities and skills shown by the figures of the land. things started rising upwards happily.

It could use some development/realism with the characters but a decent read if you like an adventurous travel story

groovy concepts

I've enjoyed it, and will seek out the next in the series... It breaks a few "writing rules" that I hope are grown out of, and I love the worldbuilding within it.

Surprising gem in the plus+ catalog

Listened to 0.5 & book 1 today, really enjoyed so far. The MC’s name though 🤦‍♂️ Gewey sometimes it’s pronounced “Gooey” or “Jewey”, then occasionally it will be “G-way”, later on it I think it was said as “Heavy” one time 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, on to book 2 - enjoying this series so far!

Solid book series and the narrator does an excellent job of bringing you in.

Excellent narrator, solid story line, decent character development. I’m interested to see where they take the story

Blatant Goodkind rip

This story is well written and well performed but totally ripped off Terry Goodkind.
I listened to book one and that's enough for me.

enjoyable

I'll start off by saying the story is enjoyable. I like the world that was setup. I felt myself being drawn into the world as it was told. I did enjoy the narrator he's definitely quality. the 1 thing I absolutely despised by the juvenile nature of the maim character. I could hardly believe he was 6'2 and 17. he sounds and acted like a 10 year old. that is the only issue with the book really. just so over the top.

The strength of the heart will serve you well

Great narrator brings the story to life. Good character development with some unique flaws that make an interesting story. The main character doesn't know his true power but powerful enemies want to kill him before finds out. Good vs evil in the land of the kings brings enemies of the past into alis of the future. A good listen that will enjoy, I did.
