it is not a great piece of literature, but it is fun

Great story. Good narrator.

Many of the Male voices sound almost the same but it's rarely an issue. Overall the narrator is really good for sure.

This book is really good.
Main character is not necessarily OP, he's more of an under-dog but even then not really because his skill with his choice weapon is unrivaled. He's just short and skinny.

Also he has dragon armor that's really OP!
No weapons can penetrate the armor. And it's lightweight, so that's cool right.

Great beginning but what happened to the climax?

I loved the first 1 1/2 hours. We were listening in the car with my teens, one 16 one 13. We were fine until the character got married and his hand reached between her legs. Off went the book and we were all disappointed. That part in the book is very mild but we felt it inappropriate to continue. I finished it to write this.

The book reads like a fairy tale. I have no idea regarding trees or how things looked. There is so much description left out. However, the character belongs to a war-like polite society? Talk about weird! Then the book turns into a travel log about how many men were killed, how many honors were awarded because of that, and what plunder and gold they got. There were several things mentioned that I thought might have given the character development, but no. I thought there might have been a climax at least, but no. They went home and bought presents for their wives. The only real description was about how they killed each man. One mention of that would be enough, but no..... they had to relive their kill in gory detail.

I did not like this book and will return it. I don't want my teens to hear it. So sad with such a great start.

I've always loved this book.

This is one of those books where the underdog almost has superpowers. His superpowers don't necessarily come from being stronger faster better than everyone else. To a degree he is better because of his own personal struggles. I just find myself really liking the main character. His morals, integrity and overall character make this a fun book.

If you like violence and a straight forward plot you will like this. No stupid MC just action and consequences.

All That Glitters

The book and series are the best, I have ever read. The author's excellent story telling combined with her sense of humour turns out a delightful and intriguing tale. Not only are you breathlessly turning every page, you are already thinking about the next book in the series. You will be swept away by the magnificent warrior's courage, honor and sense of duty.

Great Book

This is a great book and a really good to listen to or read. Performance was above the norm.. well done

Not for children!!!!!

The book is put under children’s ebooks but has some very explicit sex not for into the book. To be fair the couple are newly wedded but the detail in which it is described is not appropriate for children. Audible needs to update the categories for this book ASAP
