Story
Thirty-two-year-old Jess Abbot has lost everything: her job, her apartment, and - most heart-wrenching - her eight-year-old son, Chance, to a tragic accident. Haunted by memories and grief, Jess packs what’s left and heads for the small mountain town of Pine Lake, where she takes a position as caregiver to an eccentric old woman. A rumored clairvoyant, Lucy is strange but welcoming and immediately intuits Jess as a “loose end” in need of closure. But Jess isn’t the only guest in Lucy’s large Victorian home.

Story
You change the world, but the world changes you too. There is no getting around it. And thus, the simple wish to live changed the life of medical student Aliya irrevocably. Trapped in a body that isn’t hers, and a world in which she does not belong, Aliya has made her decision - she must survive. Similar to the Middle Ages, but not entirely, Medieval Tale takes place in the dark ages of Ativerna, a universe inhabited by different populations that worship different gods. In this world, women are deprived their voices and their abilities to pursue ambition.

When young priest Nicolas Chatry took his vows, he thought the hardest thing he’d have to deal with was accomplishing his duties from a wheelchair. Until a murderer steps into the confessional. Unable to recognize the voice or maneuver quickly enough to get a look at the killer, Nicolas has no way of identifying who admitted to such a horrific deed. Unable to live with the knowledge that a predator is walking the streets of New Orleans, Nicolas breaks his vows and hires Shaye to do the impossible - find the killer before he strikes again.

OhMy! My Face Hurts from Laughter!
- By Angi on 12-31-18
Publisher's Summary
In the spirit of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Shadows of the Stone Benders by K. Patrick Donoghue....The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci by Belle Ami unravels an unforgettable mystery.
Three destinies, one remarkable painting.
Will her visions lead her to the truth?
Art historian Angela Renatus is haunted by dreams of Leonardo da Vinci and a mysterious painting of Giuliano Medici and his mistress Fioretta Gorini. A painting that, as far as the world knows, doesn't exist. Compelled by her visions, Angela is determined to find out the truth.
When Angela is contacted by art detective Alex Caine, she's shocked to learn that he too is seeking the same painting. Alex's client, a wealthy German financier, is determined to clear the name of his late uncle, Gerard Jaeger, an art historian, who went missing in Florence during World War II. In letters written before his disappearance, the historian describes his love affair with a beautiful young Italian woman named Sophia Caro, and the discovery of an extraordinary painting by the great master himself - a painting depicting Giuliano and Fioretta.
Angela and Alex journey to Florence in search of the priceless treasure. Is it a lost da Vinci, potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars, or a wild goose chase that will only lead to a dead end? But someone else is searching for the elusive painting - Alberto Scordato is a powerful man in the art world and a sociopath who will stop at nothing, even murder, to get what he wants. Scordato knows something about Angela that even she doesn't know, something that could threaten both Angela and Alex's lives, forcing them into the crosshairs of fate.
Critic Reviews
"'The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci' is a fast-paced romantic suspense novel. It is highly sensual, with the bulk of the story focusing on the characters and the chemistry they share. The premise is a fun and unique twist on the paranormal romance genre, with multiple narratives spun together in a way that makes the listener continue on, needing to know what happens next. Angela and Alex especially have a heated chemistry that spans multiple lifetimes as they travel not just through Italy, but also through time itself via their past lives. Gary Furlong gives an awesome performance. His accents are spot on, and the distinction between characters is so well done it sometimes feels as though there are multiple narrators. His performance is also full of heart, making it easy to fall into the emotions of the characters. This is a good book to listen to while on the go or while cozying up in bed. Readers who enjoy historical fiction, time travel, adventure, and steamy romance will especially enjoy it!" (Chelsea Anderson, InD'tale Magazine)

Fantastic Read
I loved the thought process of this story. The main character, Angela, an art historian, who keeps seeing visions, whether looking at a painting, in her sleep or when she walks into an area that was once occupied by her former self. As she sees herself in her former lives (not once, but twice) and each time, as she and Alex (an individual who is also looking for the painting) fall in love, come to find out, they were lovers in their past lives (both times). On their search for the lost painting, they are fighting against others who are also searching for this paint.....so you have drama, romance and a fantasy all wrapped into this package.

Somewhat Disappointing
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.
The book blurb described this book as being similar to The DaVinci Code - it is not. There is no real mystery to solve. The title is somewhat misleading as it only relates to the fact that there might exist a lost painting by DaVinci which the MCs seek to find. The premise of a lost Da Vinci painting and teaming up an art historian and a detective trying to find it was intriguing to me. I liked the reincarnation aspect of this story, but what detracted, for me, from the story was the sex scenes [or the fantasizing about sex], especially in the latter half of the book, almost feeling gratuitous rather than doing anything to further the plot.
The narrator, Gary Furlong, did a nice job.

A sexy romance and art thrillers
The Girl Who Knew DaVinci is a romance and art thriller with a supernatural element. The story is action packed and entertaining, though once the characters get intimate, it tends to spend a bit too much time with the characters having sex.
Recommended for adults only- contains graphic sexual content.
The narrator of the audiobook is very talented, and I enjoy listening to him read books. However, when he is using his basic narration voice, he can be a bit monotone. He doesn’t have that problem when he is voicing the characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
