Fun and engaging listen

I first heard Carlos speak at a communications conference and knew I had to read his book when it came out. I was not disappointed. While themed around social media, the lessons and insights of this book are relevant to anyone working in marketing, social media or internal communications roles.

Great listen for young and experienced marketers

I purchased this book because I heard the author speak on a podcast. His viewpoints were very interesting on the podcast and different from what every other person typically says.


So I went out on a limb and purchased the book, totally worth it. Will be part of the regular rotation

Solid, worth a read

This book is pretty solid, and I definitely learned a lot. Main thesis: be more human on social media. Don’t use stock photos, generic logos, etc. Make sure you let you, your employees, and your customers shine and make your company seem as human as possible.

Nothing new here

The author is a good voice performer and reads in an engaging, charismatic manner.
As for the content itself: I'd recommend you don't waste your time if you're already familiar with basic to intermediate social media marketing principles, or if you’re in a service-based company (service-based entrepreneurs and anyone doing personal branding will probably find it more useful.)

Approximately 90% of this is common knowledge among social media marketers, particularly if one has been doing it over at least a few years.
