Great characters!

Caroline Overington manages to pack a lot into this short book. The story is interesting and believable, and the characters are better developed than those in many, much longer, novels.

Aimee Horne's performance was perfect, really enhancing the story and bringing the characters to life.

Read and enjoy!

Pleasantly surprised!

This was one of my audible free selections and I was again pleasantly surprised. I also enjoyed that it was a very short endeavor only a little over 4 hours but it did keep my interest throughout. I felt comfortable with Aimee Horne the narrator.

Very entertaining

Despite the story being written about a very unsettling current period of our time, this book was written so well I couldn't stop listening. It showed how easy it could be for anyone to be so thoroughly scammed to where their life is put in danger because of it. Job well done, Caroline Overington! Thank you!

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this one

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good story, no bells, whistles or emotional gimmickry, just a pleasant few hours and things worth pondering when finished.

Great for free monthly

Pleased to see some of the free monthly originals have been pretty good lately! Some months I haven’t even bothered. Nice little relevant setting and story. Good narration. Did have a couple “are you serious” moments, now days who opens their home to a stranger, no questions? Again tho good for a freebie.
